I Would. (Beast Boy x Raven)

Chapter 1

Raven POV-

Afternoons like this are my absolute favorite. It's fall and the Tower is quiet for the most part, except for the hushed mumbling of the television in the common room.  Cyborg is busy repairing the T car; something with the muffler he said. Starfire and Beast Boy are both in their rooms, doing whatever Extraterrestrial beings and animal shapeshifters do, I guess. Robin sits on the couch in the common room, thoughtlessly staring at the television screen.

  Emerging from my room with a book in hand, I enter the room. Robins eyes shift leisurely from me, back to the television.  The man on the screen is explaining the process of making marbles, with a thick Italian accent. Boring, if you ask me. But, whatever. Its Robins life, he can mindlessly waste it on Italian marble makers if that's what pleases him. I perch myself on the other end of the couch, and eagerly open my book. It's called 'The Celestine Prophecy' by James Redfeild. This particular book had been sitting on my shelf for quite a while now, and has obtained a thin layer of dust on the cover.

   About 4 chapters in, when I was encumbered in a passage about perusing control, the elevator doors opened, and Cyborg came plodding loudly in. "All Fixed?" Robin asked Cy, patting down the couch for the remote, shutting the TV off, and standing up. "Yep." Cyborg wiped his hands on a now blackened rag. Robin stretched, reaching his hands up towards the ceiling. 

Closing my book, I stood up, realizing I wasn't going to get any contentment now. I began making my way back to my room, when of course, the alarm went off, making the gem on my cloak blink. "Trouble!" Robin announced, like we didn't already realize this? Beast Boy and Star fire came bustling into the room. "It's go time!" Beast Boy announced. "Titans go!" Robin gave the signal, and off we went.

Arriving at the 'Bank of Perez' we realized that our problem was smaller than expected. Gizmo was in the process of trying to rob the bank. (See what i did there? hehe?) "Stop right there!" Robin stated as the rest of us followed. Gizmo stood near the safe, mechanical tentacles holding a bank teller, and toying with the safe handle. "Dude! You wish!" Gizmo cackled, supporting himself on the tentacles, and growing taller. Beast Boy, Starfire, Cyborg and I split up, as Robin wall jumped towards gizmo, only to be whacked by Gizmos giant metal tentacle. "Let..Her..GO!" Robin gritted his teeth as he landed, referring to the screaming bank teller in Gizmos clutches. "Whatever you say." Gizmo said nonchalantly replied flinging the employee into the air. Beast boy reacted quickly, morphing into a hawk and catching the bank teller in his talons. She hung by her Blazer, flailing until BB put her down, and she went running. 

 Gizmo began trying to take out Robin again. "Not so fast, Pint Size!" Cyborg taunted, using his blaster and forcing gizmo into a building column, which ultimately broke, making a useful weapon for me.  I levitated into the air,  focusing my center, as Gizmo got up. "Azarath metrion zinthos!" I chanted, my black energy consuming the broken column. I threw the piece at Gizmo, making him skid across the floor. He stumbled up and Beast Boy flew across his path. This startled Gizmo, and his tentacle went to grab BB but he was too fast. While distracted, Starfire launched Starbolts in his direction, cutting off his tentacles, and making Gizmo fall to the ground. Robin pounced at him. "You're going to jail, tough guy!"

 Of course Beast Boy suggested we celebrate, so after the victorious battle, we all agreed on a movie night. It was Cyborg's choice tonight, so of course it was some Sci-Fi Techy movie. Not that I really payed attention, but yanno, it was okay, i guess. We had ordered Pizza, so everyone was mowing down. After the movie ended, Beast Boy was asleep, a stream of drool coming from the corner of his relaxed mouth. "Gross." I muttered, getting up. Starfire shook him. "Friend Beastboy! Wake up!" BB Awoke with a jolt, rubbing his eyes. "Aw, C'mon Star!" He complained. "I'm off to bed, goodnight guys." Robin said, leaving the room, and presumably going to his room. "Yeah, me too." "As am I." Star and Cyborg agreed. "Mhm. G'night Rae Rae." Beast Boy was the last to go. "Don't call me that." I retorted. 

  "Azarath Metrion Zinthos...Azarath Metrion Zinthos..." I repeated continuously, meditating  in my room.  "Azarath Metrio-" "Friend Raven?" Starfire called, knocking on the door. My concentration shattered, and I slowly opened my eyes, sighing. Going to the door, I slid it open a crack. "Yes Starfire." I asked, but it did not sound like a question. "I am unable to do the sleep." She told me. "Might I meditate with you?" I nodded slowly, allowing her into my chambers. 

  I have to admit, Starfire is my best friend. She knows the most about me, ever since the time we switched bodies. Although she doesn't understand all earthly concepts, she still tries to understand me, and I her. She has a confusing crush on Robin, although she'd never tell him, and only admitted it once. 

  After meditating, Star was able to sleep. I was too, and I changed out of my leotard, resting for the night.
