Lauren instantly sensed that there was something that Camila didn't want to talk about. She didn't want to be rude and interfere her privacy and because they were pretty much strangers, the green- eyed girl kept her mouth shut.

Neither one of them wanted to break the silence so they each read their books and Lauren casually stole a glance at Camila every now and then. There was just something about her that Lauren found incredibly mysterious but endearing at the same time.

Lauren had always been fascinated by things most people didn't even acknowledge. She sacrificed her time in order to make others happy. Appearances didn't really matter to her- they never had. What really mattered  to her were peoples' intentions, their minds.
She was basically the opposite of her family members. Every effort, to change the green eyed girl's mind, had failed and soon her parents had given up.

Around that time, she discovered the art of songwriting for herself. Most of the songs were about things many people did not talk about. She hated cheery, happy songs because it gave people a wrong outlook on life.
She was sick of listening to "Bubblegum Pop" so the green eyed girl just wrote her own songs.

She wrote songs about life, sadness, grieve as well as breakups. The young Latina always seemed to date guys who didn't truly care about her as a person, only about her looks and she slowly but surly gave up on the thought of true love. Was love just a myth? She truly didn't know. It just somehow never felt right. She had never experienced the love people write poems or even books about. Maybe she was incapable of loving someone?

In addition to that, she didn't have many friends, she preferred being on her own. That's just how it had always been.

The green- eyed girl subtly stole a glance at Camila before looking out of the window, trying to shut out everything around her.

Camila on the other hand was struggling to keep a straight face. Her mind just wouldn't stop racing a thousand miles per hour, making her conscious of her current situation, of the life that she tried to run away from so desperately. Images of her little sister, her parents and her friends kept flowing throw her mind and she couldn't help but feel horrible for basically disappointing all of them.

They had no idea what was really going on in the brown- eyed girl's life and she couldn't get herself to tell them. Camila hated herself for being so secretive about every single thing that was happening in her life but she couldn't help it.

She just desperately wanted to take a break from her mind, her life, everything.

The young latina looked at the blonde haired girl next to her, who was still sleeping and she sighed. She felt horrible that there was nothing she could do to make the girl feel better in the long run, she felt useless.
Maybe everything would be alright eventually? She sure hoped so.

The brown haired girl got up carefully, trying not to wake up the other two girls and made her way to the bathroom. Just as she was about to open the door, she suddenly felt a horribly strong bump that sent her to the floor.

Was she dreaming? What happened? Everything around her started to shake and all the color drained from her face when she realized what was going on. The plane was going downwards and she knew for a fact that they weren't supposed to land for another three hours. It felt like she had been on the floor for minutes when it fact it had only been a few seconds. She could make out loud screams and cries but yet she was unable to move as if she were paralyzed.

"Get up!"
Camila suddenly felt someone tugging at her arms and when she looked up, a blonde, short girl around her age stood in front of her, trying to help her on her feet.

Camila got up and her feet were shaking uncontrollably and until now she hadn't noticed that she was a sobbing mess.

"Come!" the smaller girl shouted and dragged Camila behind her to one of the emergency exits. A flight attendant gave her a life jacket but at this point Camila didn't notice anything around her. Everything around her was blurry and she just knew it, this was the end.

-----------------------------------

"Shhhhh it's gonna be okay" Lauren tried assuring a crying Lia but everyone in this plane doubted that they'd make it out alive. They were in the middle of a screaming, crying crowd, the small girl clinging onto Lauren, whose eyes kept scanning everyone around them, looking out for Camila. Where the fuck was she?

All that the green eyed girl noticed was the fact that the plane kept descending way too fast and that they were about to hit the ground.

This wasn't how she had pictured the last few minutes of her life. She had always thought, she'd die old and lonely.

You always think that you have endless amount of time but that isn't  the case....
One day you're here and the next day you're gone.
And there's nothing that could replace a person.

The screaming just got louder and louder and everyone was crying.
Lauren just knew that this was it, this was the end.
A few seconds later the green eyed girl heard an exceptionally loud banging noise once again and everything was falling apart and burning. The machine had hit the ground.
