4.- Promises

Luke, Anakin and the rest went into the starship. Anakin was nervous. Not because of the mission. As a Jedi, he had to do way more dangerous missions. He was nervous because he was going to see himself. And he didn't like what he heard about it.
"You look worried" Luke noticed "Are you okay?"
Anakin nodded.
"Yes. Don't worry, Luke. I'm fine" he smiled.
"Good." Luke said.
They all sat. Han and Chewie sat in the front; Luke, Leia and Anakin at the back with R2 and C-3PO.
They reached the shield.
"They're going to let us in, you'll see" Han smiled.
Luke's eyes opened widely.
"I shouldn't have come. I'm endangering the mission" he realized.
Anakin looked at him as so did Han.
"it's just your imagination, kid. Don't worry" Han told Luke.
Luke sighed.

"What should I do, Lord Vader?"
Darth Vader meditated.
"Let them pass. I'll take care of them personally"
The other one nodded, without saying a word.
Darth Vader turned away. Thank to his mask, nobody had seen his face but he was... surprised. His son was in that ship. But not only his son. There was someone else in that ship, wasn't it? Vader smirked a smile. The Force worked in mysterious ways. There, in that ship, next to Vader's son, Luke Skywalker, was the one and only Anakin Skywalker. But Vader had curiosity. He wanted to see... himself. He shook his head. He wouldn't tell the Emperor. He could handle both his son and his younger and foolish self. It was going to be fun.

"They let us in!" Han shouted happily "I told you they were going to let us in"
Luke sighed, relieved.
Anakin laughed.

They landed. Anakin, Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie walked until they saw two storm troopers.
They found somewhere to hide. Han was going to take care of them.
"Be careful, Han" Anakin warned.
"Yeah, be careful" Luke said.
Han smirked a smile.
"Hey, don't worry. It's me"
Anakin and his son looked at Leia, who observed Han with a smile. Everything was going fine but it all went wrong because of a damn stick.
Leia stood up.
"Look! Two more!"
Anakin and Luke turned to where Leia was pointing. Two storm troopers went to where three speeders were.
"Come on!" Leia shouted. The two storm troopers were getting away in two of the speeders. Leia jumped and landed on the third speeder. Luke and Anakin ran to were the girl was and crawled into the last speeder.
They started chasing the storm troopers.

Anakin and Luke came back to were Han was after they took care of a few of storm troopers.
Han waved a hand when he saw both of them.
"Where's Leia?" Luke asked. Anakin could feel a little worry in his son's tone. He was worried too.
Han frowned an eyebrow.
"I thought she was with you two"
Luke nodded.
"She was but we had to split" Anakin informed. "Let's go find her"
Han and Luke nodded. The three boys, along with C-3PO and R2 started searching for the girl.
"Leia!" Luke shouted.
"Princess Leia!" 3PO said "Where are you?"
But no matter how hard they tried to find her, they couldn't.
Chewie groaned.
"What is it, Chewie?" Han asked, hoping it was Leia. "Oh, it's just a dead animal... No, Chewie!"
And, suddendly, they were trapted.
"Always thinking with your stomach, Chewie" Han sighed.
Luke tried to move, but he couldn't.
"Han! Hayden! Can anyone of you reach my lightsaber?"
Anakin nodded.
"Yeah, I think I can"
But before Anakin could give the lightsaber back to his hand, he heard 3PO complaining.
"R2, I don't think it's a good idea..."
And the next thing Anakin remembered was crashing into the ground.
"Ouch" he gasped. "You all okay, guys?"
Luke coughed.
"I'm fine. Han?"
Han nodded.
"Never better"
Chewie groaned. He was okay.
They tried to stand up but they found out that they were surrounded by these small bear-looking creatures.
Han started laughing.
"They are called ewoks" Anakin told his friends.
One of those ewoks pointed with his lance to Han, who pushed it aside. The ewoks got mad.
Anakin sighed.
"Oh, this is just going to be great"

"We are part of their tribe!" 3PO shouted.
Anakin smirked a smile. It was actually good luck that the ewoks believed 3PO was their god. And it was actually good luck that two jedi were in the team.
Luke got out of the room. He needed to think. Anakin thought of following his son, but he let Luke go. The boy needed to be alone for a while.
A brief moment later, Leia got out. Anakin stood with Han. Both his son and daughter had too many things to talk about and he wasn't going to intervain.

"Hayden!" Anakin heard Luke shout.
"Yes?" He asked. He got out. He saw Luke still grabbing Leia's hand.
"You wanted to come with me, right?"
Anakin nodded.
"Of course. I'll go with you"
Luke smiled weakly.
"Well, in that case, we gotta get going"
Luke hugged Leia for the last time. Before they went, Leia grabbed Anakin's hand. And she hugged him.
"Please, take care of Luke. Take care of my brother. Don't let my father hurt him" she whispered in his ear.
Anakin hugged her as well.
"I will, I promise. I won't let anyone hurt him."
And with those final words, Anakin Skywalker went to fight with his most important enemy: himself.
