The sky was gray and rain was pouring down hard and fast. Jack Howard was driving toward home after just finishing a video with Tim. The rain had gotten bad while he was there, so he was trying to get back as quickly as possible.

He was driving down the road next to the park when he looked out his window and spotted his best friend Dean Dobbs sitting under a tree with no umbrella or raincoat.

What is he doing out in this weather?

Jack pulled over and rolled down his window. "Dean!"

Dean turned toward Jack and smiled upon seeing him, but said nothing.

"Don't just sit there! Get in the car!"

Dean walked over to Jack's car and got in the passenger seat. Jack locked the doors and continued down the road. He turned to Dean.

"What the hell are you doing out in this rain without any protection? You're soaked!"

"I was hanging out at Bing's place. When I went over there, the weather was fine, but when I left, the sky was gray and it was starting to sprinkle."

"Then why didn't you stay with Bing?"

"I thought I could make it home before the rain got bad."

Jack turned back to look at the road. "Why did you decide to walk home instead of driving?"

"The car's in the shop. The windows aren't working. I was planning on sitting under the tree until the rain stopped."

"Well then, why didn't you call me? I would've come to pick you up."

Dean looked away, blushing slightly. "I didn't want to bother you."

Jack turned to Dean again. "Dean, look at me." Dean did so. "You're my best friend. If you need something, let me know. It will never be a bother."

Dean nodded. "Okay."

Jack returned his attention to the road. Truth be told, you're more than my best friend. But you don't need to know that yet.

"Sorry that I'm getting your seat wet," Dean said.

"Don't worry about it. There's a towel in the backseat. I know it's not much, but maybe that'll help you warm up."

The dark-haired young man chuckled. "Why is there a towel randomly in the backseat?"

"I was washing the car the other day and I used that towel to dry it. I figured it would be good to keep handy just in case."

"Just in case what?"

Jack turned and smirked. "A situation like this arose."

Dean rolled his eyes before reaching back and grabbing the towel. It was surprisingly clean. He wrapped it around his shoulders, trying to cover as much of his body as possible. He looked over at Jack and smiled softly.

It seems like nearly every day, he does something that reminds me why I have feelings for him.

He turned to look out the window before Jack could catch him staring.

"You can just drop me off at my flat."

Jack shook his head. "No, we're going to my house. I'm already headed there anyway and we need to get you dried off and warm as soon as possible so you don't get sick."

"If you insist," Dean said, the smile still on his face.

Dean sat on the living room couch in Jack's house, wearing clothes that Jack had let him borrow and drinking warm tea that Jack had made him.

The taller man walked in carrying a large white blanket. He wrapped it around Dean before sitting down beside him.

"You didn't really need to give me the blanket. I'm already pretty warm," Dean said.

"I just wanted to make sure," Jack said.

Dean smiled warmly at him. "Thanks for helping me out."

Jack returned the smile. "Don't mention it." He grabbed the Wii U and went to Hulu. "I checked my phone and apparently, this deluge is supposed to last through the night so I hope you don't mind sleeping over."

"That's fine. It'll give us a chance to brainstorm new skit ideas."

"In the meantime, what do you say we marathon Doctor Who?"

"Sounds good."

Jack clicked Doctor Who from the 'Shows You Watch' menu and chose an episode he knew they both liked.

As the show started, Dean placed his left hand over Jack's right hand. Jack turned to him, and saw that he was looking away, though Jack could see a blush on his cheek. He smiled and turned his hand over and grasped Dean's hand in his.

Dean turned to Jack in surprise and upon seeing his expression, a small smile came upon his face as well as a deeper blush. He grasped Jack's hand and quickly turned his attention back to the TV. Jack let out a soft laugh before looking back at the show as well.
