Clash of the Clans (a Naruto Fanfiction)

Introduction

Introduction:

Yet again, another fight between the eternal rivals of the Shokan and the Fukushu clan was occurring down in Hakatsutchikagure. But the only people that were participating, scratch that, who dared to participate in this underground fight were—of course-- Shokan, Chieko and Fukushu, Sadao.

                Everybody knew the two prodigies of the rival clans, the whole fate of Hakatsutchikagure rested on the shoulders of these two immature—but talented-- shinobi. But the future of Hakatsutchikagure seemed dim as the genin continued to fight about which was to kill Kuchiku-kan, the fearsome owl demon that rampaged on the above ground of Hakatsutchikagure.

                After all, the purpose of the two clans was to destroy Kuchiku-kan. But the two clans had not always been so competitive with each other; Kukuchi-kan had not only torn apart families, but had also torn apart the relationship that the once close clans had maintained.

                Originally, the two clans were headed by two brothers, the elder being the head with the Shokan Clan, and the younger being the head of the Fukushu clan. At that time, Hakatsutchikagure was called Kofukugure, and everybody lived above ground. It was a secure village that only allowed good people to enter, and only the pure of heart to leave.

                A problem arose; an owl demon dubbed “Kukuchi-kan” had started to raid and destroy everything. Every day, people were being killed by the great owl demon, and the brave shinobi who tried to kill it were killed.

                The Second Hakatsutchikage needed to fix this problem—and fast--, so he called the clan head of the Fukushu clan and the clan head of the Shokan clan to kill the owl demon.  They were both powerful, rivaling the power of the Hakatsutchikage, and killed the owl demon quickly (or did they O.o)

                When they came back to the village, the people were dubious about if Kukuchi-kan was really dead. While the Fukushu head was starting to become a bit suspicious, for the killing had been a bit too easy, the Shokan head assured that the owl demon was dead, and that if he wasn’t he would kill himself.  Suddenly, Kukuchi-kan arose and started to attack the village, it dawned on the villagers that the sadistic beast was toying with them.

                After the death of many shinobi, they finally drove back Kukuchi-kan, but was not able to get him out of the village, (If you don’t understand, then read the top again) the villagers cursed the brothers, for they had been condemned to live underground for eternity if they wanted to keep themselves alive. So they took the Shokan head to his promise.

                That day, the head and founder of the Shokan clan died.

                And ever since that day, the Shokan clan and Fukushu clan have been bitter enemies, living for nothing but to redeem their honor.
