The things that change your whole point of view, no matter how small. The words that are perfectly spoken and take away the doubts and troubles from our mind. The glances that told us what we wanted to hear without saying a word. The warm embraces that hid us from the cruel world outside it and its monsters. The whispers said just before we fell asleep that made us peaceful after a bad dream. The hands pushing us forward when it seemed like everyone wanted us to fail. The smiles thrown our way that would light up our hearts and make us flash a smile back. The gifts given to us for no reason but to make us laugh and smile. The looks on their faces, whether out of kindness or concern. But, most importantly, the love that they would share with everyone they met. Including us.
These are the little things that we never notice at first, but make the difference in our lives. The things that keep us here and keep us strong. The last special gift that they give us to show that we were the ones that they loved the most.
These are also the things we miss the most, The things that make us want them back more than ever.
