"Like baby birds children need their mama." ~Slient_Worlds

Rain. Its always raining. Even if it isn't raining outside. But of course it raining now. And night time and cold. My twin sister clutching on bitter black coffee. I turn my head to look at her blowing on the coffee. I prick of guilt poked my heart. Even though we are seconds apart I should be a better older sister. She turns her head and moved her hand to give me some coffee.

"Please, drink some." She said over the rain. I push her hand away.

"No." I snap.

"Fine." She throws back. Taking a drink.

It really not that late. But people probably won't stop to give us money. Of course. We need a miracle. We've been hear for a week. Doing odd jobs. Cars pasted and pasted.

A car seemed like its slowing down.
"What's that car doin?" My sister asked.

"I dunno." I say back.

The car pulled over and stopped. And a car door opened and closed. My sis fisted were curled ready to fight. I was a bit more calm. It was a women. I couldn't really see her in the dark. But I knew she was alone.

"Are you kids ok?" She called out.

"No!" I yelled in a sarcastiac voice.

"I could give you a ride." She said.

"Shot gun!" My twin yelled running to the door. I just roll my eyes.

We all got in.

"Were do your parents live?" She asked. Typical. Your probably wondering why we got in so fast. Well its raining and the temperature is 5°. And our only warmth was a median cup of black coffee we sold.

"We don't have parents."

"Oh.. well you can stay with me tonight." She said.

"What's your names?" She asked. Looking at me though the mirror.

"Mine is Lana." My twin said.

"Lana?" She warmly laughed. "What a beautiful name."

"My is Luna." I said.

She smiled at me though the mirror. I smiled back. It felt like this lady did care.

"Yo can just call me Lana, I don't do nicknames." Lana said with her slang.

"Kay." She said.

"What's yours?" I ask.

"Ryan."

"Cool." Lana said.

The car ride was pretty silent. Luckily it wasn't long. We pulled up to her house. We all rolled out of the car. Ryan unlocked the door and we entered. Their was a L type couch and Lana practical flew to it. I laughed a little to my self. Ryan gave us pillows and blankets. And locked the door. We said out good nights.

I layed down confused. Most people would take us to the police station or daycare. But she did. Why? I didn't know but all I knew was that I need sleep so I drifted off.
