The Twins On My Doorstep

Chapter 2

We finally calmed Saige down and started making dinner. Niall, Louis, and Zayn were watching the babies at the moment. We heard them laughing together and then a weird chime noise. Since Liam was in here I decided to find out what it was. When I walked in Saige and Paige waved their arms in the air. Paige was surrounded by water while Saige was surrounded in fire. Also they have powers, but I don't know where they got them. That line in Skylar's note flashed through my mind as I looked at my daughters. The elements turned into animal shapes and were floating around the room. Then just like that the shapes disappeared and the babies fell asleep. I picked them up and put them in their cribs in the room across from mine. When I put them in their cribs I gave them a kiss. They smile as if they knew it was me. I wonder if they know what they do when they wave their arms? After I ate dinner I went to bed and fell asleep almost instantly. I woke up and went to get the babies since I heard them crying. As soon as I picked them up they stopped crying and smiled at me. I smiled back at them and went downstairs to make their bottles. I saw Liam in the kitchen so I asked him to make the bottles. I handed Saige to him as I fed Paige. Everyone else stumbled down the stairs an hour later. Saige grabbed my finger and started to play with it seeing as Paige was asleep. By dinner time Paige was laughing while Saige screamed her head off. Paige seemed to understand that Saige was upset because she made water animals and let them float to her sister. Saige calmed down and sent Paige fire animals back. Suddenly a pounding on the door came scaring all of us. Especially the  babies because they started to cry at the same time. Niall picked up Paige and Louis picked up Saige as I made my way to the door. When I opened it there were two guys dressed in black. "We are here for Saige and Paige Styles, two twin five month old girls," the shorter one said. "Why?" I asked, curious as to why they want my daughters." They were reported for owning powers," the taller,buffer guy said. I rolled my eyes and said, " They don't have powers." The taller guy looked at me before saying," We still need to check them out." I smiled before opening the door wider and saying,"Be my guest." The guys stepped in and automatically locked eyes with the girls. The men walked over to the girls and started playing with their little hands. Saige and Paige had wide eyes as if they knew who the men were. The shorter man cleared his throat before saying, "They do not own powers." Louis and Niall started to rock the babies and they fell asleep. The men left as I grabbed the babies and took them to their room. I walked across the hall and fell on my bed from exhaustion.
