Chapter: 6 The Pet Shop.

Zero dragged me all the way to a big building that said 'pet market' "a pet shop?" I asked "no duh, were going to get you a pet" Zero answered "I didn't know you guys had pets" I said "of course some of us don't have room mates" Zero looked sad, then his smile shone through "I have 6 LOL fish" "LOL fish?" I asked "yeah there really funny, the way there mouth is shaped makes them look like they're saying LOL all the time" he said "that's cool" I said "so what other kind of pets are there?" I asked "lots, you'll see" he replied. We walked inside and there were so many awesome looking animals, one caught my eye it was a light pink fluffy one it looked like a cloud and it had tiny little angel wings that didn't look capable of carrying it "ok now pick a few out and you get to be put for a test" he said as I was walking away "what do you mean?" I asked, but wasn't really listening "well the animals choose you, not the other way around" he explained "oh, that's weird" I said "actually its not, some of the animals are very dangerous, though they appear cute and cuddly, they are extremely destructive, witness my point" he pointed across the room to the shop assistant getting attacked by a large animal that looked like an overly fluffy panda "uh huh, so are you sure it's a good idea for me to go in there, I'm only human after all" I said worriedly "well witch one's catch your eye?" he asked "this one, right here" I pointed to the cloud like fluff ball, and walked over to touch it "no, no, no" yelled the shop keeper rushing over to move my arm "we don't touch that one" he said pointing his finger at me. The creature was scratching at the air with long sharp claws and snarling its teeth "shit that was close, thanks Jakarta" Zero said "Jakarta?" I swung around to look at the shop keeper. I hadn't yet had a chance to see his face, as soon as I saw him I knew, that scar, his bright blue, gold flecked eyes "oh my god" I said dramatically "Jakarta" I reached to touch the scar just under his left eye. It was from a boy at our school he swiped him on the face with a knife, Jakarta looked right at me "Issie?" he asked curiously, the only thing I could think of was to hit him but instead I pinched his side, and he flinched, Jakarta was always ticklish "I thought you were dead!" I yelled "I know, I'm so sorry Issie" he said, I was surprised Zero hadn't said anything by this time but then I realised he was distracted over by the LOL fish, he was tapping on the glass and imitating there face "I couldn't sleep properly for a year, I still have nightmares" I said, there were tears welling up in my eyes, I felt his hand wipe away a tear I was crying "I'm really sorry Issie" he pleaded " you're the only one who ever called me that" I smiled "so when you got taken here?" I asked "they thought you would come with me" he said "but you already knew about them?" I asked "yes" he answered "so they wanted me here sooner than now but they had to wait for Danni after that" I said throwing my arms up in the air. He laughed "so what about Danni?" I asked "it really was in his family though" he answered "so he will die?" I asked feeling sick "I don't know" he said "no one knows what will happen in the battle of the gods" he said "oh, that's really terrible" I replied "yes, it is" he said "so anyway its so good to see my best friend and know your alive" I smiled "you too" he said "so now what about this little guy why cant I touch?" I asked "how can you not know?" he asked me "I just don't" I laughed, looking at Zero putting his hands on the side of his face and flapping them around, Jakarta laughed too when he realised what I was looking at. Zero must have heard us laughing at him because he stopped and walked over to us "hey you figured things out with ya boyfriend yet?" Zero said "he's not my boyfriend, you idiot" I hit him "he's my best friend" "oh best friend boyfriend close enough, haven't you ever seen those teen movies" he changed the tone of his voice to a high pitched preppy imitation "oh he's just my best friend but secretly I love him, and were gonna get married" he said and batting his eyelashes, I laughed at him "so Danni and I are also gonna get married?" I asked "oh, no, he's gay so" Zero said laughing "he's not gay he's just... yeah he's probably gay" I said laughing "have you ever asked him?" Zero asked "well no he's my best friend he would tell me if he was, right?" I said "right, because I would tell me best friend I'm gay and then risk loosing them to being all homophobic like" he said "that's a good point" I was so puzzled what if he was gay? "Hmm, well enough of that, why is it so dangerous" I asked Jakarta, but Zero interrupted before he could answer. He pushed in-between us and pulled up his sleeve "see that" he pointed to a big deep gash on his arm with stitches in it "that little creep did this coz I had the same thought as you thought it was all innocent and cuddly" "what that's not what I think at all I want that for a hard core killing machine" I said smiling "right" he laughed "but seriously I think it likes me" I said "that's what they all say" said Jakarta "I'm serious" I said "so am I" he said, I pulled a sad face at him "please" "fine if you really want to try it out, you can put your hand in there, with a protection glove on then your arm if it excepts you see how it goes with touch and if its all good you can move to the test room, ok?" he explained "you do realise she wont get that far right?" said Zero "maybe, you never know, she is the princess, and that creature is really rare not many people can touch it but it has best tolerance to females remember" he said "true" Zero said. Jakarta got me some gloves and he poked the creature with a stick and it went crazy "don't aggravate it before I have to try to pat it" I said "your not touching it yet your just putting your hand near it to see what it does" he said "ok got it" I put my hand in the cage that the creature was in slowly moving towards it "not too close Bells" Zero said "I got this" I said the creature saw my hand and hissed at and it went crazy, it ripped off my glove and took a big bite into my hand, I screamed and it let go "Issie!" Jakarta yelled but it was too late there was blood gushing out of my hand and I was loosing conciseness fast then I saw a flash of light and the last thing I heard was Zero yelling "don't go don't go". I woke up some time later and the first thing I heard was Danni's voice then Angel arguing with him and Kasyoda and finally Zero yelled "she's awake" Jakarta had obviously been sleeping and screamed when Zero yelled "can you guys shut up, this is not a suitable environment for shouting" I said groggily looking at Jakarta he looked tired "she's back!" they all cheered "Jakarta stayed awake all 3 nights looking after you" said Kasyoda I panicked "what I've been here for 3 days? And where am I?" "your in the hospital" Jakarta said quietly "that creature almost killed you, you've been in an induced coma for 3 days to calm your heart and blood loss" Kasyoda screamed "that's so not fair, not even I knew that, this is an outrage" "shh she doesn't need loud noises" Zero said "thank you guys" I said "i cant believe this happened" "neither can we" they said simultaneously
