It was late into the night when the (h/c) girl had awoken from her slumber due to an assaulting amount of smoke that had crept into her room sneaking in from the crack of her door. She quickly hopped out of bed realizing something was wrong but when she opened the door she had wished she had still been asleep and this was all a figment of her imagination, nothing more. Unfortunately for the young girl it wasn't, and she realized that as she started choking for air her asthma acting up severely. She then started hearing a crying sound coming from close around her in one of the nearby rooms she followed it to her little brothers room to discover him crying behind the doors of his closet. She ran over to the small boy and looked into his bright cerulean eyes that were laced with fear, as tears streamed down his fragile face. This broke his sisters heart and she quickly hugged him and whispered into his ear "Everything will be alright Ciel, don't worry I'll get us out of here and we'll find mother and father and everything will be alright" she pulled away from the hug and extended a hand for the small boy to his feet. He gave a weak smile and was grateful he had is older sister to help him, she was always there for him when he needed it and he hoped he could grow up and be just like her.

They ran through the house trying to look for an exit when they came upon their parents being engulfed by the flames (y/n)'s eyes opened wide and she let out a cry as a ceiling beam fell onto of the two people she had cared most for in this world. She covered her mouth as tears formed in the pit of her eyes as she hugged Ciel's head, turning it away from the scene; even though the young Phantomhive didn't exactly understand what had happened he knew it couldn't have possibly been good. (y/n) soon regained composure as another ceiling beam fell right in front of her and Ciel she yelped as a piece of burning wood had flown off and hit her side. She grabbed Ciel's hand and sprinted the opposite direction hoping to get out the back door trying her best to avoid the flames that were slowly consuming everything she had ever come to know in this life. She was able to get both Ciel and herself safely outside but she didn't stop there; she now carried little Ciel and jogged off into the woods trying to escape everything she had just witnessed and find somewhere safe seeing as it was still the dead of night.

She found a nice little opening under a pretty decent sized tree and set her brother down under it, then sat down herself. All of her adrenaline had worn itself dry and she closed her eyes and hugged the already sleeping Ciel close to her chest. At exactly dawn she woke up, she couldn't exactly sleep much anyways because all she could think about was the events of last night. She sat up slowly as to not wake up her precious little brother and stroked his hair softly as she began to think of what would become of the two. She let out a sigh and moved his head out of her lap and stood up and tried to stretch but then realizing how badly she was injured. She had burns along her entire left side and a cut across her one cheek and bruises everywhere, she glanced back at Ciel hoping his condition was better; to her relief it was. Far better actually, he had escaped with minor bruising and slight burns. She made sure to protect him at all costs and was glad she did, she smiled to herself and accidentally reopened the wound on her cheek. She grimaced as blood started seeping from the cut yet again. Ciel then began to stir from his slumber and give an innocent little yawn stretching on the ground, (y/n) sat back down getting very light headed and rubbed her head to reveal a large bump on the back of her head as she whimpered as her hand glided over it. "(Y-y/n)?" Ciel sat on his legs looking at you worriedly.

"Yes, Ciel?" she said quickly pushing the pain aside, not wanting her little brother to know her state right now. She needed to be strong for him. She knew that's what her parents would've wanted if they had been here.

"What happened to mother and father?" he questioned recalling the scene of them last night before (y/n) had turned his head away.

The girl didn't know what to say, she felt her eyes start to prick with tears again but she tried her best to refrain from letting them loose, "they....uh.... they aren't going to be with us anymore, un-unfortunately," she said sniffling a bit "th-they passed..." she said looking down.

The small blue haired boy frowned a bit, "what do you mean? They're.....They're gone? Like, forever?!" His eyes start welling with tears as he begins to sob.

(y/n) nodded and started to sob as well holding the only family she had left close to her "Promise me that no matter what happens from here on out you'll stay alive and always fight. Even if I'm not there besides you." She says as black-ness starts to overtake her vision and her world starts rapidly spinning. She faints due to the pain of all her injuries and her over-whelming grief due to the loss of her parents, Ciel goes wide-eyed And starts shaking his sister. He starts crying wallowing for his sister that he loved so dearly. But she was gone now and there was nothing for the young lad to do. So he cried, and cried, and cried some more before collecting himself and sitting up.

Ciel sighed and frowned looking back down at his sister, while he wanted to give her a proper funeral, he was too weak. So he walked a bit deeper into the woods and picked a bunch of beautiful flowers that reminded him of not only his sister but his parents because she acted so strong like their father, and she was so charming like their mother she was the perfect balance of both. He smiled at himself as he thought of the times when they were all happy and everything was fine as he started walking back to where (y/n) lay. Only he saw a group of scary looking men holding scary looking items in their hands; and they were headed straight for (y/n). His eyes widened and he hopped out getting their attention so they wouldn't discover (y/n). They all turned to him, "What do we have here? Hmmmm, you look like you'd fit the budget quite nicely" an older man smirked looking back at his accomplices, "Get him."
