Tsuna was in pain, utter and immense pain. Every single thing hurt, his bones, his muscles, hell, even his cells hurt.

His clothes were torn and there was barely anything to cover him from the rather chilly night. It didn't help that he was in an alley, dark and damp.

The fourteen year old was covered in blood and other body fluids. He whimpered softly, trying to sit up, but it was just too painful to anything besides just lay on the cement ground, bleeding heavily and possibly internally.

"Why did this happen to me?" he whispered, his voice hoarse from the terrified screams he let out while that monster violated him in every possible way, in body and mind. Tsuna knew he was broken now and he couldn't do anything about it.

The brown eyed boy passed out, but not before he had his last, consciousness thought.

Hibari-san....

**********************************************************************************
Kyoya Hibari was making rounds through his beloved town, lost in thought. Not even the singing Hibird could break him out of his overactive mind.

For quite some time now, he's been having feelings for Tsunayoshi Sawada, the small, weak, yet impressively strong boy, who also happened to be his "boss". To say that Hibari was surprised to find that he had developed feelings for the boy would be an understatement.

He was downright astounded.

The delinquent of the school falling for the loser student? Outrageous. And yet, it happened.

Hibari guessed it was officially around the time he saw Tsunayoshi fight the Varia, Xanxus especially. He knew that he was attracted to the brown eyed boy since he first saw him in his office a while back, also first meeting the baby. Reborn, he believed his name was.

The chairman mentally shook his head. He had to stop thinking about the herbivore. He couldn't have him even if he tried. After all, everyone Hibari did care about left him.

Sighing, he walked slightly faster so he could get done with rounds and just go home. He was done for the night and if he kept thinking about Tsunayoshi anymore, he just knew that he would dream about him.

A soft whimper caught his attention. Eyes narrowing slightly, he took out his tonfas, ready for a fight. He noticed that the noise had come from an alley he was in front of. Hibird seated himself on Hibari's shoulder while Hibari made his way into the dark and dampened opening.

What he saw nearly gave him a heart attack.

Tsunayoshi was lying on the ground, bleeding profoundly from every inch of his body. His clothes were torn, he was shivering and slowly turning blue, most likely from hypothermia.

The worst part of it was, the gray eyed boy was certain he saw semen covering the poor boy.

He quickly sheathed his tonfas and ran over to the brunette.

"Tsunayoshi! Wake up!" he hissed quietly, trying not to let his sudden fear take over him. Tsunayoshi made no noise or movement. Kyoya heard a faint heartbeat coming from him.

He, as gently as he could, held Tsunayoshi in his arms, pulling him close to his chest, trying to warm him up. Gray eyes racked over the injured body, holding Tsunayoshi closer. He placed the arm that wasn't holding Tsunayoshi's shoulders under his legs, picking him up bridal style.

Hibari ran as fast as he could to the hospital.

He slammed open the hospital doors. "I need a doctor now!" Hibari hissed, practically radiating hatred and anger. A few doctors nearby rushed over to the two teens. Some of the people in the waiting room gasped at seeing the two teenagers, especially since one of them was the most feared man of all of Namimori.

"What happened?" a doctor clad in red said, putting two fingers to Tsunayoshi's throat.

"I'm not quite sure exactly, I found him like this," Hibari confessed. He didn't remember ever being this worried before.

The doctor in front of him frowned. "His heartbeat is slowing down. Take him to the emergency room now!"

More doctors and nurses came rushing up to Hibari and he would have growled at all the crowding, but this wasn't the time or the place for that.

Nurses had a stretcher ready for the boy. The doctor in red took Tsunayoshi out of Hibari's arms and set him down on the stretcher. Some of them immediately rolled the boy away from the worried and horribly terrified Hibari.

He was about to run after them, but one nurse got in front of him. "I'm sorry, Hibari-san, but you can't go after him," she said. Hibari looked down at her. She was shorter than him and not even close to being as strong as him and could easily hurt her but he was more worried about the boy.

"Tsunayoshi..." He muttered to himself. He went to sit down in a chair in the waiting room, placing his head in his hands. This was very out of character for him, he'll admit, but he couldn't help it.

He wasn't there to protect Tsunayoshi.

He noticed that almost all of the people, patients and visitors alike, we're on the other side of the room, staring at him in fright, but he didn't care, not one bit. What surprised him the most was that a little girl was standing in front of him, appearing not to be afraid of him.

Hibari looked up to see that she had large green eyes and dark brown hair that reached her shoulders, she looked to be around six years old.

"Are you alright, mister?" she asked sweetly. Hibari let a small, miniscule smile take over his lips.

"Somewhat, but thank you." He reached out to ruffle her hair. She giggled softly.

"What happened, mister?" she asked. Hibari's small smile fell, bangs now hiding his intense gray eyes.

"Someone very dear to me was hurt and I'm very worried," he said. The little girl pouted slightly.

"What's their name?"

"Tsunayoshi."

"I'm sorry to hear about that but I'm sure that he'll be just fine. My daddy is very sick and Mommy is worried, but I know that he'll be fine," she said, a smile lighting her cute face.

It was true that Hibari had a soft spot for cute things, that was part of the reasons he fell for Tsunayoshi. And why be liked this girl.

"What's your name?" she asked, her voice going up a bit at the end.

"Kyoya Hibari, and yours?"

"Kaori Ikeda," she said.

"Kaori, come on, Daddy's out of surgery now. Let's go see him," a woman's voice said. Hibari and Kaori looked up to find a black haired and brown eyed woman in her late twenties to early thirties.

"Coming, Mommy!" Kaori shouted over to the woman. She looked back at Kyoya. She took his hand in her own small ones, smiling. "I hope your dear one gets better, Kyo-nii," she said. She let go of his hand and ran over to her mother. The girl looked back to the gray eyed boy and waved. Hibari smiled at the girl.

He definitely liked her and hoped to see her around town.

It had been quite sometime since Tsunayoshi was sent to the emergency room and Hibari was dreading the worst. He was the only one left in the waiting room.

"Tsunayoshi Sawada?" a woman's voice said. Hibari looked up to find a woman in her forties with graying black hair and wise green eyes. She was wearing a doctor's coat over a gray blouse and a long black skirt with vans.

He got up. "How is he?"

The woman looked at him with saddened eyes and that was when Hibari almost blacked out from panic.

"You must be the one who brought him here? Kyoya Hibari, the feared man of Namimori?" Kyoya nodded, waiting for his answer none to patiently.

She looked down at a chart in her hands. "I'm afraid it's not looking to good and we need to talk." She gestured her hand to him to follow her. "Come on, I'll take you to his room."
