Shiroi's POV

I can hear the birds chirping. I was happily welcomed by the presence of the sun's rays, entering through my bedroom window.

I sat upright on my bed, rubbing my eyes then stretching my arms to relieve the ache in my body after having a terribly bad dream.

It's that same old dream I've had recently, about waking up to stare at a young boy's beautiful eyes. I just can't pinpoint why though..

"Yep, no need to stress yourself out Shiroi. Today's the day!" I quipped happily.

Today was the first day of class in my new high school! I so can't wait to meet new friends and learn new stuff.

I reached out my left arm to my alarm clock. Looking at it with half-opened eyes, I stared at it in uttermost disbelief.

"Oh shoot, I'm late!" I cursed as I got out of my bed and did the impossible of preparing for school in 10 mins. I think I still have shampoo in my hair. After changing into my uniform in a failing war of unbuttoning my shirt, I immediately dashed straight into the kitchen.

"Of all days to be late, why now?!" I mentally face-palmed myself as I took out some strawberry cake and strawberry milkshake that I bought yesterday. So? Don't judge my breakfast.

I sat down on my chair, about to eat my food.

"Oh my gosh! I can't believe Shi-chii is actually awake! Mom, you have got to see this phenomenon! What has the world come to, dear grandfather above in heaven?" My 12-year old brother, Akira dramatically gasped as he entered the room. He suddenly snatched the strawberry on top of my cake.

"Shut it, Aki. And give me back my strawberry, you little runt!" I said, frowning at him.

"I'm surprised you managed to wake up before breakfast. Surprise surprise eh?" He stuck out his tongue, proceeding to chewing it, much to my annoyance. I sighed in defeat.

"Well, I'll be going now. I SO don't want to start my day with you." I huried up the pace in eating, drank from my milkshake. Aki raised a brow in my actions, obviously displeased by ignoring his attempts towards mischief. I then stood up, grabbed my bag and headed towards the front door.

"I'm off then!" I said to Father and Mother, whom I passed by in the hallway.

"Have a wonderful day, Shiroi!" Mother said, cheerfulness clearly evident in her tone. Father gave me a huge grin and a thumbs-up, as I walked out of the house and walked towards my new school.

Anyway, since the walk to school is 10 minutes, I might as well give the introductions. My name's Mizuki Yukimura. Aged 17, turning 18 this October 14. So I'm basically about to start my first year in college. I have an annoying and rude 12-year old brother named Akira Yukimura. He's currently in 6th Grade. I have two loving parents. Father's name is Satou Yukimura, and Mother's name is Saeko Yukimura. Aged 37 and 35, respectively. Father and Mother are both doctors.

I received a scholarship in Sakurei High, a Performing Arts university. Ever since I was a kid, I always wanted to achieve my goal, which was fulfilling Mother's dreams. She wished to become a songstress, to compose songs and sing it to the world. Quite funny, actually. I actually think my mom still hasn't got over her childhood fantasy, not that I'm one to judge. Heck, I'm still aiming to have the world dominated by flying cats. Okay, maybe mine's a little far-fetched. I still have hope in it!  In the end, Mother became a doctor instead because her parents forced her to study medicine. She gave me the freedom to choose whatever I desired, so I decided to finish what she had always dreamed of.

"Whoops, looks like I'm already here." I blurted out as I stooped in my tracks, to stare in awe at the enormous university that in a minutes from now shall be recognized as 'college' in my life.

"Oh, shoot! I'm going to be late on the first day of classes!" I screamed in exasperation after wasting 5 minutes of my life in awe at the university as I ran towards the gate.

---

"ID please." The intercom said. I immediately scrambled through my bag, searching thoroughly for the whereabouts of my ID.

"Please don't tell me I forgot it.." I prayed silently to God that my forgetfulness not be involved this time. "Found it!" I said as I grinned widely in happiness. I then inserted my ID in the slot beside the intercom. The large, iron gates then suddenly opened, allowing me inside.

I quickly made my way towards the entrance of the school. God, I think the walk towards the entrance would take much longer than my walk to school.

Hmm... Nope, seems like I made it just in time, seeing as I had 5 minutes left when I checked the time during my time at the gate.

"Woah, this university is humongous!" I said in astonishment for what seemed like the 20th time today. In reality, this school didn't seem like a school at all. I mean, it actually looks mansion-like. Scratch that, my tingling senses are telling me that this university is composed of 10 mansions, forming some kind of fortress. Yep, how I described the school is incredibly confusing. But who wouldn't be astonished? Except those spoiled, rich celebrities of course. Marble fountains, walls, and tiles. Well trimmed and groomed rose gardens surrounded the school. And there was also some kind of mountain behind the school, as well as its own beach resort.

I made my way towards my class, picturing in my mind the room in which a letter sent to me a few days ago said. I walked around the campus's 1st and 2nd floors.

"Room 2-1, A Class. Room 2-1, A-Class.." I chanted as I jogged around aimlessly in the large school. It seems like I'm still in the high school zone, so I think I should head towards the 2nd floor. Maybe the college levels are in the 3rd and 4th floors. So I made my way towards the 3rd floor.

As I ran towards the end of the the staircase, I bumped into someone. Hard. REAL HARD. To the point of me seeing white.

.

.

.

Wait, what?! WHITE?! Oh, wait, wait, wait, WAIT!! I'm losing my balance!! I'm falling!!

Time seemed to slow down, as I threw my hands in the air, trying to grasp onto something, as I slowly and surely lost my balance. I closed my eyes, preparing for the outcome that'll soon judge my whole life. Am I going to be in a coma for the rest of my life? No, you can't do this to me God! I still have to fulfill Mother's dream! I still have to graduate and finish college! I still have to dominate the world with flying cats! I still-

CRASH.

.

.

.

A large thump snatched me away from my thoughts, as I tried to focus my head and mind onto what happened. I looked around, making sure I was't dead. No white clouds around, CLEAR. So I wasn't in a coma.

I raised an arm to ease my aching mind, resting my elbows on the ground. As I studied my surroundings more, I heard some noises in the background. Then my eyes feasted upon the large crowd circling me. Then I realized that someone was below of me. I gasped in horror, as realization dawned upon me. I accidentally pulled this person along with me as I fell down the stairs!

Before I could get a good chance to clearly look at the person I have accidentally pulled along with me, I then blacked out.
