I woke up, my head slightly ached and it felt like something was taking its time tearing out my skull. Chad looked down at me with concerned eyes as I came to," Ellie."

"Where am I?" was all I could ask, still a little groggy. "We are in the nurse's office," I tried to sit up,"......don't try to get up. Just rest the nurse said you had to stay and rest. Is there anything you need? I will stay with you if you want me to." He said trying to mask his concern.

"Don't worry about me Chad I think you should get back to class."

"Okay Ellie, but if you need anything you can call for me. I'll come for you when classes are finished." He kissed me on my forehead, I slightly blushed because the nurse saw everything, and then he left as I smiled at him. As Chad left me the nurse turned to me and smiled, "You have a very sweet boyfriend."

I blushed as she said boyfriend, "He's not my boyfriend. He's my best friend."

"You sure? What a shame you look cute together, he seems to care for you a lot and as more than a friend." Was this woman alright, Chad, My Chad, whom I have known forever likes me. I think that I would have noticed a long time ago, sure he likes me but as a sister. Well at least that's how it seems. I went back to sleep as I started to feel tired.

"Ellie," Chad was once again standing over me, "it's time to go home. Are you feeling better now?"

"I think so." I tried to stand but instead I fell, Chad put out his hands in time to catch me and stop me from falling.

"I guess I'll have to carry you. My mom's already here so you'll go with me. I'll call your mom and tell her I'm taking you home." He called mom and told her everything and by the way it he talked to her, it seemed she was pretty worked up with worry. He finally finished talking to her. He then turned his back to me and knelt on one knee and put his hands behind his back," What are you doing?"

"Well since you can barely walk I have to get you to the car somehow."

"Chad.....I know you aren't thinking of piggybacking me to the car? How old do you think I am?"

He smiled at me but he didn't get up, "Would you rather I carry you bridal style?" God why are you punishing me? Before I could decide He came over me and picked me up in his arms. "Why are you so bothered and it's just like when we played when we were younger." He smirked, "Or is it that you are in love with me?"

I blushed slightly but all I could say was jerk. As we walked along the corridor, me in his arms, people stared and whispered luckily most of the school had already left. We walked along the corridor and it seemed to go on for ever as more people stared at us. "Wait Chad I forgot my books."

He looked down at me and smiled gently, "No worries love, I already put them in mom's car." We finally reached outside where his mom was waiting and he put me in the backseat, then he got in. "Hey Ellie." His mom greeted me with a smile. "Chad told me you were sick hope you get better soon, oh and your mom just called me, she said she's not coming home tonight, so you'll be staying with us. Or would it be better if you stayed home." I was accustomed to this, because of mom's type of job as a personal assistant to a rich tycoon, she often had to go away suddenly, but it was okay because then I could sleep over At Chad's, since he was my neighbour.

"Thanks Ms. Norton, I would prefer to stay at home."

"Thought so I know how you hate to depend on people." She said, and she was right. I hated having to depend on people unless I really had to.

"Mom I'll stay with her tonight then." We both turned and looked at him dumbfounded, "she can't stay by herself."

"Ok, but you're going to sleep on the couch, and I will still check up on you guys." We all agreed and left for home. When we got home I was still feeling a little sick bur I felt better. I took a shower and went to bed.
