Chapter 1

Yuma~

Osamu and I were just talking and waiting for the sensei to come, but then we heard something interesting.

"Hey did you know that another exchange student is coming!"

"Wahh. Why would this person come into a war zone?"

"Maybe this one is a border agent."

Osamu and I look at each other thinking about that possibility.

"Or maybe this person is a neighbour?" Osamu jokingly whispers but I just shrug. Then, Sensei came in.

"Sorry that I'm late everyone. The new student had some trouble getting here. Um Inoue-san you can come in now."

No way!

Harumi~

One step into the class, everyone is murmuring about me. I don't know why but it weird and i'm starting to get freaked out.

"Good morning everyone! My name is Inoue Harumi, nice to meet you!" I say with a big smile. Gotta try and make a good impression. I scan the classroom to see who and what type of people are in my class, but then I spot one particular face. It was Yuma! What is the little chibi doing here?

"Yuma-kun!?" I ask to make sure it was him

"Ah, Haru-chan? Long time noo see." He replied

I felt a rush of emotions flush over me, we had quite the history. But I've changed as much as he has. Especially that white hair. I wonder what happened. I almost laughed to myself thinking that he might've dyed it to fit in.

"Ah Kuga-san, you know Inoue-san. Lucky you, there's an empty seat beside him." Sensei said

"Hai!" I replied

I walk through the many people who were asking me questions and saying things about me, some said:

"Hey Harumi-san, what makeup do you use?"

"What shampoo do you use, you smell great!"

"You're soooo cute."

"Could you go out with me?"

"How do you know Kuga-kun?"

Once I sat down I said, "I don't wear make up, um regular shampoo, thank you, no thanks and I know him cause we're childhood friends!" 

I then look at Yuma with a normal face and whisper "Why are you in the meeden world?"

And he replied, "I'll tell you later."

"Aww they're so cute, two childhood friends reunited." The whole class awed

But Yuma and I ignored that.

"Ah Haru-chan, this is Osamu-kun." Yuma said with an unusual duck face

"Konichiwa, Osamu-kun!" I say to the megane boy

"Hey Inoue-san, you shouldn't hang out with these losers. Join us during lunch!" One red headed boy behind me said

"No thanks! I'd much rather catch up with Yuma." I say giving them the cold shoulder

"Now shall we start class!" Sensei said

Time Skip to Lunch

I was really lucky that Yuma went to this school, if he wasn't I would be a total loner. He invited me to eat lunch with Osamu-kun and a girl named Chika.

"Konichiwa, Harumi-san, my name is Amatori Chika!" Chika introduced

"Can I call you Chika-chan, and in return you can call me Haru!" I say

"Uh yea. Of course!" She replies

"Ehh, it took me so long to call you Haru-chan until you let me, and you let Chika call you just Haru in a day." Yuma whined

"Cause you're different." I say

Then Yuma gives me a look. I read his mind. Oh yea reading minds is my side effect! "By the way, they know I'm a neighbour, don't worry about hiding."

"There is one thing I forgot to say about myself you know." I started

"What is it Harumi?" Osamu asks

"I am what you meeden, I mean humans call a neighbour. I'm just like Yuma! Oh and I am the second strongest Neighbour in the entire neighbourhood too!" I bragged

"Jheez!" Osamu and Chika say in unison

"I made it to the top and I finally beat Yuma!" I said in victory

"Then why are you in the meeden world?" Yuma asked

"I want to get stronger." I say

"But, Haru-chan isn't it that you're already really strong?" Chika says

"I know, but I wanna be the very best that no one ever was!" I said

"Well then that means you're going to join border!" Osamu says

"And I'm already B-rank so I can help."

"Jin-san can also help us too!" Yuma says

"Maybe even Tamakoma Branch too!" Chika said

"Jin-san? Tamakoma? Ehh?" I say confused

"Harumi we have to introduce you to Jin-san later after school. Okay?" Osamu says

"Okay. Also, I don't know about Yuma, but please don't tell anyone about my identity."

"Okay then!" Osamu and Chika says

"But, Jin-san can tell the future, so he might already know." Yuma adds

"Oh. I guess I'll have to see what to do about him."

"Then lets do this!" We all say
