Almost Immediately, I saw a man standing outside the door of a neighboring building I knew to be closed at this hour, and I doubted it was functioning at all being summer. I kept walking my same path, thinking nothing of it. However, i watched him for a minute and noticed he was still at the door, and was now acting violently. I realized he was trying to break into the building. We locked eyes from afar and he immediately stopped what he was doing and started making his way towards me. I quickly changed directions and stared walking through the grass on my left. He still seemed to be heading my dire tion. If this man started chasing me, I didn't know that I would be able to outrun him. I tried to pick up the pace subtly, the last thing I wanted was for him to notice and start sprinting towards me. Just then, my friend finally texted back and I immediately called her rather then distracting myself typing a response. I tried to keep a normal sounding conversation going while I told her exactly where I was on campus, hoping the man would leave me alone I'd I was on the phone. I could hear footsteps behind me breaking sticks, but they still sounded a good distance away. I heard a chain link fence behind me rattle. I think he wanted me to know he was still there.
