~CHAPTER 1~
I sat on the edge of my seat staring blankly out my window. I glanced down to look in my hands where I held two envelops that will change my entire life. I sat there thinking of my home town I am leaving behind, my school and most important my loving friends.
There were so many memories that I had there, so many things I would miss. Losing my father was the worst thing I have ever been through and because of that things are gonna change a lot and it starts first with us leaving.
“Canada, Canada!” I repeated to myself.
I just couldn’t believe I was moving from New York to Canada. I sighed and look back out the window I couldn’t see anything but balls of white puff and the black sky. The worst things about plane rides are the passengers. I always fly 1st class but that has its downfalls too. The passengers in 1st class are so stuck up, they complain about nothing and everything.
Its always this is too sweet, this is too sour, the wind is messing up my hair and my personal favorite the seats have no head rest pillow. I can’t remember the last time I was on a plane and didn’t hear that complain. Although I have to say a head rest pillow is amazing I mean its built so that your neck is right between the pillow and your head is super comfortable. I don’t think that they would ever buy those pillows even for 1st class because they would just take them and they would have to keep buying them back.
It was about 1:30 in the morning when the person that sat beside me took off their head phones when I realized it was a girl no older than I was. She turned to look at me and smiled. Did she just smile at me? People in 1st class don’t smile unless they have to and I doubt she had to. i smiled back at her. She had the most amazing smile; her teeth were so straight and pearly white. Her hair was black and caught neatly in a pony tail. Wow, she was beautiful but her nose gave it away she had done a lot of plastic surgery.
I turned back to the window so that she couldn’t see I was laughing.
“hi, I’m Alison” she said trying to get back my attention.
“Katie” I said while shaking her hand.
We started talking about random things, she asked me a lot of questions ‘where I’m from, why am I going to Canada, if I’m an only child, who are my parents.’ She was actually kind of nice we talked for what seemed like forever well I really should say she talked and I listened and occasionally answered her questions If I felt as if she can know the answer.
It was around 3 in the morning when she went she said she was tired and went in her bag and took out a head rest pillow. I giggled when I saw it. She looked at me questionably so I told her that she might not find it when she wakes up. She laughed and said she knows but that will never happen she installed a tracking device inside it. Well maybe its just me but I think that was a little bit overboard. She fell asleep just when the captain announced that we will be landing in the next 5 hours. So I also decided to get some sleep for I don’t know what or who is waiting for me in Canada.
