Now it was lunch time. We went to the school cafeteria. Lunch time is very boring when you have no one to talk to. Well, I didn't know anyone around. So I just decided to sit at an empty table. I was eating and Anna came and said, "Hey, you alone?" and she sat.
"Yes. I don't know anyone here." I said.
"Oh..So you're new? Well, I'd like to be your friend." she said, smiling.
"Yea.. I'm new.. I'd love to be your friend too!" I said.
"So, wanna hang out after school?" she questioned.
"Sure!" I said excitedly.
"See you at the coffee shop then." she said.
And then the bell rang. It was math class next. I love math! So I ran towards the class. And got the first seat cause I liked math and I was early whereas it seemed like others didn't like math. Anna came in too and sat next to me. We talked about our favorite animals. I never knew she liked bunnies too! And the teacher came in. She taught us math. It was super fun. I liked my new school.
It was time to go home. We went out and waited for the bus. We sat in and went home. I gave my phone number to Anna so that we can talk. I reached home and knocked the door. Mom opened the door and said,"Welcome back!" I went in and sat.
"How was your first day at school?" mom asked.
"It was nice and super fun. I made a new friend too. I like this new school but it cannot be compared to the old one." I said.
"I'm glad you like the new school. Okay now go and change." she said.
I went up and took a bath. I checked my phone to see if Anna messaged or called me. But she didnt. I wore my white top with denim shorts and waited for her to call. I went down and asked my mom, "Mom, my friend said me to meet her at the coffee shop, can I go? Please.."
"No dear, It's very hot outside and I can't let you go alone. Say her to come home if she can." mom said.
"Oh.. I don't think she can. Okay let me ask her," I said.
I called anna and asked her if she could come home and gave her directions. I was waiting and someone knocked, "Knock knock" I opened the door and It was Anna! I knew it! She came in and mom gave us a cup of coffee. We talked about random stuff and school. We did our home-work together and it was super fun. Now, it was time for her to go. I wanted her to stay but she had to go.
"We should have a sleep over some day!" I said.
"For sure! But next time, not today." said Anna.
"Oh okay, It was a fun day, thanks for coming over. Take care! Bye." I said. We both waved at each other and she went. I finally found a true and nice friend!
