As Becky started walking to the football match she started to think whether anything extraordinary was going to happen and if whether today was going to be an ordinary day for once in her eventful life, but Becky had a strong feeling at the pit of her stomach that today was going to be just like any other day, extraordinary.
After 10 minutes of walking Becky became lost on Commercial road, after asking a few people for directions she manages to find someone to escort her to the stadium. "thanks. erm what's your name?" "Its Eric, Eric Alexander nice to meet you Becky" ."How do you know my name?" " Its on the outside of your kit bag next to your shirt number" "oh right, thanks. can i have your number? just in case i need help to find somewhere again because you look like you know your way around Portsmouth" "Yeah sure, its 07548962589 call me whenever you need help finding a place" "will do bye".
After another small 10 minute walk Becky found the apollo stadium. She glanced at the entrance that had been refurbished a few months ago. Before the refurbishment the entrance looked old and fragile, the wires had to be re-attached several times and most of the paint had either faded away or it had been scratched off. The new entrance had the stadium's name in illuminous yellow with a blue outline and the team name surrounding the stadium name. Becky was greeted at the new entrance by Gemma and Jess, the manager and the vice-captain. After having a quick conversation they all headed to the changing rooms for a quick team talk before they headed to the pitch to warm up.
When everyone had finished their warm up the whole team got into a huddle while Gemma read the team sheet. "In goal is Diana, Angel, Nicole, Courtney and Connie are in defence, Olivia, Becky, Kiera and Sophie are in midfield and up front is Ellie and Shannon" with a worried look on Courtney's face "where's Shannon?" Sophie said "oh she went to find her drink back in the changing rooms".
10 minutes had passed and Shannon still hadn't returned. This could only mean one thing ... Shannon was missing . THE STAR STRIKER WAS MISSING!!!!!!!!
