C h a p t e r T w o

Audrey walked to him and wrapped her arms around his waist.

"So" said Audrey

"So" he repeated.

"Are you okay?" He asked turning around.

"Yeah I'm fine" she said.

"Well are you ready?" He asked.

"I guess so" she said.

They went outside and got in the car.

Audrey stared at the road.

Billy looked over at her and grabbed her hand and kissed it then he put his hand on her thigh and she smiled.

"I love you" he said "I love you to"

"How do you feel?" He asked.

"What I'm feeling?" She asked he nodded his head.

"Please don't let this be true" she said and looked over at him.

"Like I'm only dreaming and when I wake up we'll both be laying in bed" she said.

"Here we are" said billy and Audrey looked over at him.

"You're gonna have to go now" she said

"Yeah"

"You're going into that plane"

"So I guess this is goodbye" he said

"Promise me one thing when you line up to get on that plane don't look back at me and I won't look at you okay" she said tears coming out of her eyes.

"I don't know how to say goodbye" she said.

They both looked at each other crying.

And their lips crashed on each other's.

They broke the kiss and they were both crying hysterically.

They hugged each other tightly that was the first time Audrey saw him cry.

"I can't explain how much I'm gonna miss you" he said.

They dried their tears and got out of the car.

"Hey tepper mrs tepper" said one of his friends he met.

"Hey" he said.

They walked to wait for the soldiers to be dismissed.

Everyone started to line up "I have to go" he said and kissed her cold hands.

He started to walk away and she stood there and crying.

He turned around to see if she was gone but she wasn't she was crying hysterically they ran to each other and she jumped in his arms and he kissed her all over.

"I love you" he repeated.

"Please come home" she cried.

"TEPPER" yelled snuffy

"Goodbye" he said and he broke his promise and watched her run away to the car.

Billy got on the plane and sat by the window.

"Hey billy I know you miss her" said Hank.

"Well yeah she's my wife"

"And high school sweetheart"

Audrey could barley drive because it was all blurry.

She ran inside the house and didn't move anything.

She curled up on the couch and cried.

She heard a knock at the door.

"COME IN" she yelled.

In came her best friend Gracie "hey" she said putting her purse down.

"Are you okay?" Asked Gracie.

Audrey burst into tears "he's gone" she said and they hugged "oh audrey it's okay hey how about some ice cream?"

Audrey nodded her head and went back to the couch.

They were on the plane for hours until they landed.

"Alright girls off the plane" said the sergeant.

They got off the plane and settled in.

Billy pulled out a picture of him and Audrey that she had packed and he flipped it over and it said keep safe he started smiling.

His bunk mate looked over his shoulder "dayum that's your wife" he said his eyebrows going up.

"Yes that's my wife" said billy putting the picture in his pocket.

"Hey buddy if I had a wife as hot as yours I wouldn't want to leave either" billy flicked him off and sat down.

"Billy man it's okay I mean it'll be all worth it when you get home because then it'll be like seeing her for the first time you know. But let's not mope around lets go get a drink" said Ricardo.

They went to the bar and sat.

"Look at that girl" said Yogurt "Yogurt I have a wife"

The two girls walked over "hi" they said.

Joey took off Billy's wedding ring and put it in his pocket.

"I do like a man in uniform" said the blonde grabbing the collar of Billy's shirt.
