Oh and the chapters may be short but I'm hoping the book itself is going to be long :)
ENJOY!!!
--------
(A/N: Because I love clothes, I might get specific. Just telling you.) I just dressed in skinny jeans, an oversized LSU tee and hightops. I rarely wear any makeup unless you count Chapstick as lip gloss. I ran my fingers through my dark brown hair then proceeded downstairs.
"Why do girls take such a long time getting ready?" Tony asked getting off the couch.
I grabbed my American flag backpack and swung it over my shoulder.
"Same reason why girls hate when guys brag about themselves? They just do."
"If you're referring to me, you're wrong. I occasionally do that."
I rolled my whatever colored eyes I have and exited the door. They seem to change like every season. I looked at myself through the mirror. Green. Sea green.
Lincoln Valley High would be the school I would NOT recommend. Only because it's filled cheerleaders, partial wannabes, a team of football jocks, and then the regulars---me included. The only reason I attend Lincoln Valley is due to distance. Its like seven to ten minutes away; depending on traffic.
I hopped out of Tony's Honda. Jenn quickly met us. Sometimes me and Jenn have problems but most of the time were friends. "Hey!" She said swishing the red and white pom-poms in my face. The cheerleaders outfit fitted her well.
"Hi Jenn." I said waving back.
"Hey babe." She said pecking him on the cheek.
I just kept walking forward as the couple made out. There. Publicly. Out in the open. It's like his father told him nothing about kissing. Just as I was about to talk with a friend, he had to get out of his car at that time. Alex. As always, the hair was honey blond and messy. Up close, those blue eyes were stunning yet already tells you 'Im a player don't mess with me unless your a smoking babe'.
My mouth watered by me just looking at him. Alex was the jock..golden boy...player of L.V.H. I sighed as I approached Blu who turned and left. I looked up at the sky. Oh great. Drizzled escaped from clouds covering everything.I quickly rushed inside the school building---the dry place.
I slowly walked in my math teacher's door. "You are late, McCamy." He said. I simply ignored him and rushed to a seat in the back where I can see practically everyone. I buried my hands in my face as my face flushed red. I hate embarrassment. I noticed a guy was next to me.
I didn't remember having a guy partner. Usually Jenn was my partner or at least, was. I looked in the corner of my eye. He had to be new. "Hi." I whispered.
"Hey."
"Are you new?"
"No." He chuckled.
How could I not notice him? He's like, sexy in a dark way. His hair was jet black and shaggy. It hid his ears and some parts of his forehead. His skin was pale at least in the room. I kept my distance of sitting near the edge. Those chocolate brown magnets met with mine. But he blinked too many times and continued to sketch in a notebook.
"So, what's your name?" he muttered.
"Sade." I replied gently.
"Knight."
It was perfect for him. It matched the dark aura.
The bell for lunch corrupted the class causing a lot of motion.
"Nice to meet you Knight."
"You too.....Sade."
And with that, he left.

I examined the cafeteria which was filtered with teens. Finally, I spotted Blu in a corner with Gabe. No. Not again. It seems like Blu and Gave are always making out in every corner of the cafeteria. What the heck? Tapping her shoulder, I was amused to see that she stopped. Usually it takes about half of lunchtime for her to take a breather. "I'll see you later babe." she muttered before turning towards me. Gabe grinned before leaving.
"Hey...sad." He said fixing his varsity jacket.
"It's Sade you face-sucking jackass." I exclaimed. He always calls me that every. single. day.
Blu's expression was filled with laughter. Her hair was in multiple shades of brown from dark to light. Gabe always says that her hazel eyes can get the truth out of you. I just don't see it.
"What could you possibly want right now? You cost me a make-out session when Gave isn't crowded by footballers." She poured.
I grinned thinking of how many times she tried to achieve her goal of making out with Gabe.
"I'm sorry. But hey, could you come over later this evening? Please...my dad isn't gonna be home so we can eat all the pizza you want. I'm sure he won't notice."
He might but food is the best support right now. I depicted that she must be starving.
"Could I bring Gabe? Please."
I let out a sigh then nodded. Whenever Gabe is around, Blu leaves me hanging.
"Yes! We can have a movie night. Afterall, today is Friday."
"Fine. Maybe Tony could come if he isn't with Jenn."
"And Alex!"
My expression changed before you could say 'no'. I hate Alex. He is an egocentric asshole who cares only about himself. Every week he's dating a new chick, and his ex-s don't seem to care. And besides, it's just a friend/acquaintance night.
"Fine. I'll go tell Gabe. Eight o' clock?"
I nodded and we went our separate ways.
-------
The doorbell rang as well as a twist of the door. As expected, Blu and Gabe were first to come. "Nice place McCamy." Gabe complimented.
"Thanks."
I closed the door behind them while they made themselves at home. The house had two floors and a basement(Dad calls it the man cave ). It's somewhat in society. You have to walk a little just to get to the door but I find it comfortable.
Quickly, I popped some cheap popcorn into a ceramic, "king-sized" red bowl. Blu laid eight movies in front of her. Half were rom-coms and the other half were action. When my mom was alive (she died when I was eight), she watched a lot of those type of movies.
"Okay so, which one?" Blu asked sitting Indian style on the carpet.
"Well----" I was cut off shortly of the door bell ringing.
