Jasper's Little Sister{Discontinued}

Lilly's POV:

2 Years Later....

It's been 2 years since Jasper left for war. Life hasn't been the same with out him. I'm not the same with out him. All I did when he left was sit on the porch waiting for him to come home or I was in him room crying myself to sleep. Ma and Pa said I had depression.A couple of months after Jasper left Ma got really sick and she's getting worse. Pa had to work over time to pay the pills, keep food on the table and get the stuff Ma needs to get better so I hardly ever see him. I had to drop out of school to help take care of Ma. Jasper writes once a month to me telling me about everything he done and all the people he's meet,how much he loves and misses me. I always tell him what's going on here,how much I love and miss him. Then a few days ago I got a letter from him and it's my favorite letter yet.

*Flash Back*
I was out side like always waiting for Jaspers letter to come. It was almost dark out when I saw the horse comin' down the rode. I jumped up and ran half way. The man came to a stop right in front of me and looked down at me.

"Are you Lillian Whitlock?" The young man asked he looked a little annoyed. 'He could look like that because he's tired' I thought.Even though that probably not the reason.

"Yeah that me." I answered as sweetly as I could will shacking my head. He rolled his eyes a little and handed me a letter.

"Here you go." He said. While huffing a little bit. 'He is really getting on my nerves with that attitude. I didn't do anything to him. So he can stop with all that.' I took the letter and started back home but not before saying a quick thank you and in return getting an eye roll and him mumbling whatever. 'Well I wonder what's got him in a mood.' when I got home I went to Jaspers room and opened the letter.

Dear Lilly,
How are you doing? I hope your doing fine as for me Im fine as well. I have a surprise for you but I'm not going to tell you until late on. Anyway I was promoted to major. I can't believe it I've worked so hard for it and know I finally have it. I'm so excited. By the way tell ma and pa I said hello and that I love them and miss them very much. Speaking of Ma how is she? Is she getting any better? Ok well before I tell you the surprise I just want you to know that I miss you so very much but, I won't be missin' you much longer.

At first I was a little confused but I hoped it meant he becomin' home soon so I continued reading.

So here's the surprise but you have to promise not to scream when I tell you. Okay here it goes. I'm goin' to be coming home in a week but I won't be able to stay long.

Even though he told me not to scream I just had to I was so excited . Pa came running up the stairs to see what was going on but all I told him was I would tell him in a minute so that I could finish reading.

So did you like your surprise and let me guess you screamed and pa ran upstairs to see what was wrong. I should had know you wouldn't listen to me so I don't know why I said not to. Well anyway that's all I have for now. I'll see you soon Lilly. I love and miss you terribly.

By the time I was done reading the letter I was dancing around squealing with excitement. Pa had took the letter to see what I was so happy about and when he finished he had to biggest smile is ever seen. I was so happy that my big brother was coming back to me just liked he promised.

*End of Flash Back*

So here I am setting in Jaspers room waiting for Jasper to come home.
