You vigorously shook the remaining droplets of rainwater off your umbrella. It was all the more difficult with the food-filled plastic Japanese takeout bags you were trying to balance.

It was absolutely pouring behind you, the rain limiting your sight to only a few meters before fading into an endless black. You could just barely see your car headlights flash as you hit the lock button for the umpteenth time.

The YG building was unique, with a grey exterior of various curved sides, and the overall shape resembled a very thick book. Six stories were housed inside, while floor one was the parking lot under the building, totalling seven above-ground floors. The dance practice rooms and the cafeteria were located in the underground basement. Normally, you'd haul your ass up to floor 5, two stories under Papa YG's top floor office, but the studios were on floor 3 and 4. And instead of having to haul ass, you had to haul plastic takeout bags.

You were miraculously able to scan your employee badge without dropping anything, allowing you access to the unbelievably clean lobby. The security guard, whose name you never really bothered to learn, nodded in greeting. You returned it, but quickly scuffled towards the elevators and hopped in one before the metal doors closed on you. Unsure of which studio floor was correct, you randomly hit the fourth floor button.

"Who's the food for?" the lady next to you asks. She was older, dressed in formal work clothes. Her tight-knit but and glasses made her resemble an old, cranky teacher. But if there's anything you've learned here, it's that every staff member here is extremely friendly. As if to prove the point, she smiled warmly. "Working late?"

"Not me, someone else is. You know how busy they get in the studios," you laughed.

"Ahh, trainee?"

"Not exactly," you grinned, trying to be a bit vague. Thankfully, she didn't push further, and the mechanical elevator voice announced the fourth floor. She simply wished you a nice evening as you exited, the elevator doors closing behind you.

Still lugging the Japanese food, you carefully pushed open the door of studio 4B. The plastic bags swung wildly as you peeked your head in.

The room was not one of the larger studios, though nor was it a smaller one. It contained a plush couch and table area for lounging, while the other side of the room had the fancy studio equipment and soundproof recording room.

But there was no Daesung to be seen.

The largest computer monitor was on, lighting up the relatively dark area around it. Almost all the equipment was active, lying under messily placed sheets of music and lyrics. After setting down the food, you picked up one of the papers and studied it.

As if the rain knows my heart, it is crazily falling
And drenching my heart
If only I can erase
all of my pain with this rain

It's a rainy day where tears fall
It's a rainy day where memories flow
I hope it rains harder,
hope it pours all night, tonight

The lyrics fit beautifully with the jeering rain clouds outside, with the rain tapping against the window. It pounded something of a beat, while you hummed the tune out for a few seconds.

Finally, you reached for the headphones, hoping to find some sort of recording. But upon securely fitting them, a very familiar, heavenly voice floated into your ears.
