It was the night before Lucas's homecoming.  Riley grabbed her homecoming dress some money and a phone, thinking that was all she needed. She than, deleted find my iPhone app, and snuck out of her window.
"I can't believe I actually did this," Riley said to herself.
Riley walked over the subway, which was still running, considering it was only 1:07. She got on the train, and say there. She played her phone for a while, until she finally heard Greenwich Village.
Riley looked around, she saw her moms cafe, which was now owned bye Maya's mother, she saw her old apartment. How she missed it. Riley walked to Lucas's home. The cold New York, fall breeze, hit her checks. It was 2:54 am, when she arrived. Riley inferred he was asleep, along with all his family.
Riley laid on their patio. Riley never noticed the beauty of Lucas's home. It was the only house she had ever been in in NYC. Unfortunately she had to see it in the rain. Riley repositioned herself.
Of course, Lucas's room was right next to the place she laid, and he was a light sleeper. Lucas woke up, and looked out his window.
"What?" He asked himself as he saw Riley asleep on he's patio. Unsure who or what that was, Lucas grabbed his phone and a flashlight and went to investigate.
"Riley?" He asked, slightly shaking her body. Riley awoke.
"Is it morning," Riley whispered,"Lucas?"
"We got to get you inside," Lucas said,"you can borrow my clothes."
Lucas took Riley into his house. It was now 5 o clock in the morning. Lucas grabbed Riley a sweatshirt and an old pair of pants. Riley quickly fell asleep on Lucas's lap. After 2 hours Lucas's parents awoke. They soon noticed Riley.
"Lucas, what is Riley doing here?" His dad asked.
"She ran away from home," Lucas said, " I discovered her at 4:30 last night, she was sleeping on the patio."
A few minutes later Riley woke up.
"Do your parents know you're here?" Lucas's mom asked. Riley shook her head.
"Ohh.. Kay," she replied. About 15 minutes later, she returned.
"Riley, your dads friend Shawn is coming to pick you up."She said.
"What? No!" Riley cried, "Shawn will never understand. He hasn't been in love for ever!"
"We can hope for the best," Lucas said.
Finally, Shawn arrived.
"I'm here to get Riley," he said.
"Goodbye Lucas," Riley said, before they kissed.
"That reminds me of the time Topanga ran away to be with Cory," Shawn said.
"And then she lived with her aunt," Riley said, "you know, I have uncle who lives in New York."

One week later

"Thanks for letting me live with you, Josh," Riley said, dropping her stuff of in the extra room in Josh's apartment.
"I really missed New York."
"No problem, Riley," josh said, "no problem."
