SORRY GUYS THIS ONES SHORT OoOPS
(Also read the authors note at the end. Don't worry it's a good note :)))))

Your POV:

Since we had a day off, I woke up at around 8am. Well, I really didn't have a choice about what time I could wake up actually because I was being awoken by Hanji.

"YN!"

"Yes?" You said with tiredness seeping through your words.

"Well, I found a note in the mail addressed to you. I think it's from your dad." HOW COULD I FORGET. I MEAN, YEAH ALOT HAS HAPPENED SINCE THEN, BUT HOW DO I FORGET THIS.

I almost rip the note out of hanji's hands and tell her to leave. I walk to my wooden desk and open it.

My dearest YN,

I'm so happy to hear from you! It feels like we haven't spoken to each other in years. We will need to plan a day for when we shall see each other. Sarah is fine. (A/N: Sarah is your friend if you forgot) she does talk about you a lot also. We both miss you a lot. So anyway, congratulations on making the scouts! Although, it might not be the best regiment, I'm still proud of you. The house is handling just fine actually. Sometimes, Sarah will come visit and help clean up the house because of my bad back and stuff. Anyways, I have to go and help our new neighbors unpack their moving supplies.

Love,
          Dad

Why does he never fail to make me cry. Like although it may seem not deep at all, that was some poetic shït right there to me. Maybe it's because it triggered a memory.

*flashback*

As I got home on the first day of kindergarten, I noticed that the house seemed pretty silent.
Too silent

WAY too silent.

So, being the curious kid I am, I decided to look around.
I eventually find my father in his study writing a letter to someone.

"Hey dad," I said to him.
"Yes?"
"Who are you writing to?"

He was silent for a moment.

"If I tell you, will you promise not to tell anybody?" He said in a hushed tone.

"I promise."

"This is Devon's birthday card. I want to surprise him this year."

I went up to the note and studied it. My favorite part about it was that dad always has a little curl when he writes his O's. It makes me really happy. It'll definitely make Devon happy too.

*end of flashback*

Promise.

That was always a hard word for me. It just was a word that always seemed to make me depressed. I guess it justs held a lot of meaning for me. Devon liked to promise things to me a lot. Once, he promised me to teach me fishing in the stream by the walls.

Well, that never happened.

Still, seeing the same exact curls in his O's as he used to do it just made me cry for some reason. The little things like that could probably make me burst into tears.

I fold the note and put it back in the envelope. I slide the envelope into my desk drawer and slowly curl back into my bed to sleep. I plan to spend this free day sleeping through my sorrows.

A/N: so I have a question. You guys will decide this one.
Would you rather have your personality be:

Somewhat emotionally unstable. (A person who cries a teeny bit more than the average person, the person who has deep meaningful thoughts, and a person who gets panic attacks more often.) IF YOU CHOOSE THIS ONE, THE STORY WOULD BE MORE POETIC WHICH MEANS MORE DETAILED WRITING AKA PROBABLY BETTER WRITING BUT ITS OKAY IF YOU CHOOSE THE OTHER ONE ALSO. I wouldn't make your character cut yourself though because I don't really like to write about that stuff unless it's a sad story.

Or

The person who doesn't really have a goal to achieve/ doesn't do a lot of thinking. Like a happy-go-lucky person.(goes with the flow, doesn't think much before doing, and has a positive perspective of the world. Kinda like how Armin wants to see the outside world)

(I personally like the first one better, but it's your choice)

Also, this chapter is unedited because I don't have time to edit so sorry if anythings incorrect, feel free to correct me. I also haven't seen aot in months so I might be a little off. Same with the story because I haven't wrote it in like two months.
