I saw Jack. It was crazy to see him after all these years. We talked about what's been happening in our lives. Turn out he's about to be a grandad, sounds pretty exciting. "Wanna go back to the restaurant" and of course I said yes. The restaurant was owned by one of my dad's friends son. It's called My Brother's Place. Oddly enough the owner is like a brother to me. My dad is friends with his dad since high school. His names Jack Mike. And I know.
The name sounds weird. Well, that's because it is. Lol. He kind of looks like the guy who played Christian Grey. When we walked in Mike came and gave me a hug and I returned it. Mike is the second owner; but get this, his name is Mike Jack. Its like they were meant to be business partners in every sense. " Same booth?" I just looked at him incredulously. Shaking his head he took me to the only table I will ever sit at, at this restaurant. The booth where me and, my parents always sat. Walking back there was a weird feeling, especially on their anniversary of being dead.
Minutes passed and jack brought me my favorite thing to eat, chicken strips and fries. The bell over the door rang. Being the curious person I am I looked up to see who it was and to my honest non-surprise, it was Dream.
I guess he saw me and started walking my way. Sat in the booth like he knew me or something. "Fancy seeing you here." "Well, I walking around town trying to blow off some steam so here we are. Let's play 21 questions." He said. "Okay lets do this." "Tell one thing you wish you did differently after you did it?" "Dream I think you're getting too ahead of yourself people usually start with something simple like a favorite color. By the way, mine is yellow. But not bright yellow it's more like a mellow yellow, like a sunrise or sunset. You know we all have a reason for what we do." I said starting the game.
"Whats your favorite color?" He said he liked the color green, but dark green. "What is one of your favorite songs of all time?" This was a tough question but I had to answer so I said "Umm this is gonna sound weird but its a song by Garbage its called Only Happy When It Rains," I said, he said, " That's interesting okay not gonna lie I mostly like the whole genre of classical music." Not gonna lie I laughed a little I never imagined a guy like him like that type of stuff. "Where are you from that your last name is Dream?" He said, "Let's see, I know this is gonna sound funny but it's from Spain, I'm like a white person, I'm so mixed it makes me laugh."
" Dude no way I'm half Spaniard!!" "Who's the real you?" He said it so serious I almost let it slip. "Dream you gotta stop getting all deep on me man." "My bad I'm just really interested in the REAL you." " Well, I guess I'll tell you one thing... there will always be more to me than what meets the eye." "Alright, that's fair." I couldn't help myself and blurt out, "Are you a virgin?!" He just laughed. He Laughed!! "Well since you want to know so bad no, Max I am not a virgin but I am who is these days?" "Alrighty, moving on do you want some of my food? " He dared refuse me. "No, I'm good thanks." "I'm confused why to walk into RESTUARANT to not eat?" "Because I saw you." After he said that he got up and left.
I got up and went to pay the bill. I called James, he's my personal butler but I treat him like a brother. He's 20 years old, his parents worked for my parents so he just stayed with me. He's Russian, pretty cool, sometimes I'm jealous. I waited for him to show up and he got here in like 6 minutes. Anyway, as I got my phone out and began to put my music on shuffle as we left the diner parking lot. The song that was first was my favorite one it was the one my parents used to always seen to me. It's called "SHINE" Ricky Fante. It came out in my favorite movie Robots. Once I got home, I did my homework for the next couple of weeks.
I got ready for bed and went to sleep. I wasn't liking it one bit. I woke up in the middle of the night sweaty so I did the thing I always do. I went the gym we have, it was 3 a.m. and I was running like my life depended on it. After that I moved onto kickboxing, helps with the adrenaline. Noticing it was 6:30 a.m. lied on the floor just thinking for a while. Come 6:30 I got up to go the ready for school sadly. Most of my nights look like this. I was ready to face today not realizing how bad today would be.
