Dear diary,
I just heard from one of England's soldiers that the British ships blocked of the river do that the French couldn't come. So that Papa couldn't come to take me back. But that can't be true, can it? Papa is strong and brave - he'll find a way. And brsides, he promised me, he promised me that he would come ... so why do I hear men cheering that the ship that's coming is flying the "Union Jack"?
