Jakes POV.
After pouring my heart out on Alexs shoulder for a straght ten minutes, we all sat on the sofa stuffing our faces with pizza and watching a film. We never do this at home and even though this isnt my family, I feel more welcomed by these people than I do by my own family. How sad is that?
I put my head on Alexs shoulder and he puts his head on mine.
"You okay Jake?" Alexs whispers with a mouth half full of pizza.
"Yeah im fine." I reply without lifting my head from his shoulder. He slides his hand into mine and I instantly smile.
We sit and watch the end of the film and by that time its 8:30pm.
"We should think about going to get Jakes stuff now." Alexs mom says and looks at Alexs dad.
"Yeah come on lets go." Alexs dad says getting up from the sofa and stretching.
A big wave of worry washes over me and I just cant move.
"Hey come on it will be okay. My parents wont let her hurt you." Alex says grabbing my hand and pulling me up into a hug.
"Its not me im worried about. Its you. She will be pissed off." I say resting my head on Alexs chest.
"We will cross that bridge when we come to it. Come on lets go."
Alex drags me out of the room by my hand and we get into the car.
******************************As we approach my house my heart sinks. I know whos behind that door and I know how shes going to react and how angry she is going to be.
"Right then everyone lets just get Jakes stuff and get out and by all means dont let her near Jake." Alexs mom says as I spoke to him about how angry she can get.
"Me and Jake will just run upstairs and get everything and run out." Alex says reasureing his mom.
I get out the car and knock on the front door.
My mom opens the door.
" Im here to get my stuff." I say to her without looking her in the eye.
"Found a nice park bench to sleep on have you?" She says laughing and sounding very pleased with herself.
"No actually. Hes staying with us. You may be able to see your son on the streets but we wont." Alex and his mom come and stand behind me.
"HA are you having a laugh? That was my daughter MY DAUGHTER. Shes just doing this to get attention." My mom says.
"Right thats enough." Alexs dad says whilest holding my mom against the door.
"You two go." My mom says to me and Alex.
Alex grabs my hand and we run upstairs.
We bundle all my stuff into a bag and I can hear my mom shouting downstairs.
"Get my laptop do not leave anything she will most likely destroy it." I say to Alex.
He picks up and heads towards the stairs and my mom is still shouting.
"Mom were coming down."alex shouts down the stairs.
Alex grabs my hand and we run down the stairs and out the door. I can hear my mom shouting getting closer and closer.
"Shit shes after us. Run!" I say to Alex and we run to end of the street and though an alley and she eventually gives up.
We both let out a sigh of relef.
"Thank god were out. You okay Alex?" I say huffing and puffing.
"Yeah Im fine. Your mom is a phyco." Alex sounds even more tired out than me.
"Boys get in lets go." Alexs mom shouts out the car window.
We both get in.
"I am so sorry you had to do this for me. Its not fair that you guys were brought into this." I say aplogising to Alexs parents.
"Its okay Jake no one should be made to live in a house like that with a parent like that." Alexs mom says.
My phone starts to ring and I see its my dad.
"Dad."
"Jake son whats going on? Your mom has just rang me saying youve left home."
"No dad she fucking kicked me out and we went back to get my stuff."
"Okay Jake mate I belive you dont worry. Please tell me you got that new camera out that cost a fortune."
"Yeah I took it with me when I first left."
"Good lad. Give me the address to where youre staying and ill come and see you."
"Hang on ill ask first."
"Is it okay if I give my dad your address so he can come and see me?" I ask Alexs mom
"Yes of course Jake Ill give it to him." Alexs mom responds
I pass her the phone.
"Hello its alexs mom Jake is staying with us and hes welcome to stay as long as he needs to." Alexs mom says
"Hello Im Jakes dad thank you so much for being there for my boy if I had any idea what was going on I would of took him out myself but Jake has to hide the fact we speak and we see eachother from his mom." My dad says in reaponse
" Its no problem you have a lovely son and youre welcome to come see him at anytime." Alexs mom said
Alexs mom tells my dad the address.
"Thank you,I know Im very lucky ill see you all soon tell Jake I love him." My dad said.
The convosation ended and she passed me back my phone.
" your dad told me to tell you he loves you and hes on his way."
I nod my head.
Seeing my dad will make this whole situation feel a bit better.
We pull up to Alexs house and we all start to grab my stuff when my dad and step-brother pull up.
"Jake!!!" My step-brother shouts whilest running.
I bend down with my arms open to greet him. I pick him up and hug him.
I look up and see my dad stood with a smile. I put my step-brother back down onto the floor and greet my dad.
"Come in dad."
We grab my stuff and make our way into Alexs house
