My glasses broke and I cried not because I couldn't see,but because they were the last ones you saw on me.
I cried because they were the last lenses that let me see your loving eyes.
I cried because they were the last frames you saw me wearing and the last ones to center the lenses to magnify your beautiful face.
I cried because they were the glasses I wore as I sat by your bedside watching as your breaths slowed but my heart wasn't ready to let go.
I cried because I looked through a new lense ,the lense that you won't be there anymore
I cried because your lenses won't be in the crowd cheering me on.
I cried because your lenses won't see me graduate
I cried because your lenses won't approve my future husband
I cried because your lenses will never read my book
I cried because this lense hurts and I can't fix it.
