"Okay..." I faced the class and took a deep breath. Stage frights. "Hi, I'm a 10 year old girl called Constance Skylark, whose birthday falls on the 28th August, which is next month. My hobbies are just... doodling, maybe. I hope to get along with all of you." I found myself pulling the ends of my shirt with my sweaty hands. Stage fright indeed.
"Good introduction!" The enthusiastic, british-accent-ed teacher exclaimed. "I'm Mrs Lime, your English teacher. Mrs Marley would do too."
Lime and Marley... weird names.
A gesture of her hand ordered me to sit next to a girl at the back of the class. Delicate, scarlett hair in a bob hairstyle. That was the only thing that caught my attention. It sparkled like the Sakura River that I lived near to. Under the mild sunshine, I was surprised at how much it sparkled. Sparkled gold, too. Wait, gold? No no no... definitely must've been my imagination.
I sat down quietly and dropped my bag onto the floor. The bag looked disturbingly similar to a skinned, deformed dog, but that was probably the only bag that didn't have a hole in it. I always end up breaking bags for some reason.
"Hi... umm... I don't know your name yet..." I stammered, trying to start a conversation.
"It's Kythine." The girl replied, in a uninterested kind of voice.
"Well, nice to meet you Kythine!"
I studied her features after waiting for her replies which was never heard. Her pretty red hair, checkered shirt and a knee-length skirt. Her eyes, however, were a dull brown. It was a pity, because it was only her dull eyes ruining her beauty.
"Well," Kythine started. "I'm your buddy for now, so ask me if you have any questions, just ask me. But don't give me too much trouble."
"Sure."
There was an awkwardness between us after ending the conversation.
"CLASS DISMISSED!"
