The Sisters' Love and the Rose

A long time ago the universe was protected by the most powerful god named Sydome. He lived in the tallest mountain on Earth. He created all the beautiful wonders of the universe. Sydome also created the humans who helped him take good care of his creations.

            One day when he looked at the humans, he saw a beautiful woman named Zethra. He fell so madly in love with Zethra that he asked her to be his wife. Zethra accepted Sydome’s proposal and they got married. Out of their love, Zethra gave birth to a twin whom they named Cyrane and Rose.

            Though Cyrane and Rose are twins, the two are different.

            Cyrane is lovable and quite beautiful, but she was less noticed by men. However, because of her loving character, people value and love her. She has no hatred and greediness which her parents loved about her most.

            On the otherhand, Rose the younger twin possessed an undefined and incomparable beauty. She had many rich, popular and good-looking suitors but none did she lay her eyes with. Being the younger twin, she seeks more of people’s attention but more or less ignored by her parents because of her irresponsible behavior.

            One morning, Cyrane and Rose were attending school in the mortal world. In school, Cyrane met her very first friend, Rethoir. He was talented, kind and good-looking.

As anticipated, Rose had the eyes of the men except Rethoir’s. Rose saw how close Cyrane is to him and became envious. Rose stepped onto their conversation and tried to introduce herself to Rethoir, pushing Cyrane back.

“Hi! My name is Rose. I’m the daughter of the god, Sydome.” She said.

Cyrane smiled at Rethoir and added to him that Rose was her younger twin sister. Rose again interrupted what Cyrane was about to say. She continued talking, leaving Cyrane silent. Rethoir smiled at her and this made Rose’s heart leap with joy.

“Thank you, Rose. Nice meeting you!” he says to Rose then faced Cyrane who was at her back.

“May I accompany and tour you around the school?” he asked Cyrane.

“Sure. I’d be happy to.” She gladly answers.

Rose thought that the conversation she had with Rethoir was the start of a good relationship and that she finally grabbed Rethoir’s attention. But Rose thought wrong.

“How come Rethoir doesn’t notice me? I’m more beautiful than Cyrane! What does my twin have that I don’t?!” Rose left furiously.

            The next morning, the three of them went to the gardens of Canon right at the end of the town. They sat flatly in the grass and was discussing about their enjoyable memories and the beauty of nature. Cyrane and Rose were listening intently to the stories of Rethoir.

As far as the story was going, Rose started dreaming about Rethoir and her grand wedding. Then all of a sudden in her dream appeared Cyrane who was there at their wedding. This made her stop dreaming. Cyrane was waking her up already because she had fallen asleep. It was already time to go home, the sun was already setting.

“Oh look! The sunset is so beautiful. It feels nostalgic.” Cyrane says while looking at the sunset. Rethoir agreed.

Rethoir and Cyrane looked at each other with affection. Rose was just standing angry at the two for leaving her out.

They finally went home with Rethoir escorting them.

“This is your stop. Have a pleasant night Cyrane.” He says.
