Summer break has officially ended, which only meant one thing to Mikasa Ackerman.

One. Another semester of hard training and focusing on her studies, two. Listening to everyone of her teachers lectures and three. Really bad breath.

Now of course she didn't mean her breath precisely. But there were a few teachers at Survey Corps Academy that could really use a tic-tac or two... maybe even three if you want to get technical.
Overall, Mikasa felt like she had something to prove. If it wasn't for her best friend and foster brother Eren Jaeger, she wouldn't be here today. Because of him, she felt like she owed her life. Overall, Mikasa was impressed with the successful young woman that she became.

Then there was Armin Arlert. How could she ever forget about him? He was her other best friend and the boy that used to tutor her when they we're younger. Armin tutoring lessons did wonders to her grade point average. Until this day, they had studying sessions together three times a week.

Overall, the 16 year old was blessed to have them. So blessed that there was nothing else in this world she could possibly want.

"Mikasa..."

"Mi-casa?"

"MIKASA! CAN'T YOU HEAR ME?!

"Aaah!" Mikasa jumped in surprised, and glared over at the person who gave her a fright. Her grim expression automatically softened when she noticed who it was.

"Oh, Eren it's only you."

The boy with deep green eyes blinked at her confusedly. "Of course it's me... Who else would be? It's not like I haven't been sitting next to you in a hot ass cab for 45 minutes."

Armin cleared his throat before speaking out "I am here as well -or have you forgotten that Eren?"

Eren cheerfully smiled over at Armin and giggled. "Oh, come on, Armin. Don't be like that."

The little blond boy sighed. "If you say so." He flipped through to the next page to his favorite book and continued to act invisible.

"Are we there yet?" Mikasa questioned, as she looked outside the window with a bored expression.

"We should be arriving in the next 5 minutes," Armin declared.

Eren stretched his arms above his head in relief "Thank God! I thought we'd never get there."

"That means I have to spend another semester with Sasha Blouse in a dorm room." Mikasa reminded. Note: She was not-at-all completely trilled about it either.

"Hey, I thought you liked Sasha," said Eren.

"I do," she exhaled deeply. "If it wasn't for her terrible eating habit and leaving food wrappers all over the room, I'd like her a little better."

"It's a good thing Eren and I share the same dorm," Armin proclaimed with a hitten grin.

Eren turned to Armin before they started their signature handshake inside cab. "BOO-YEAH! We are so going to get girls this semester!" Eren and Armin exclaimed at the same time.

Mikasa momentarily massaged her temple with her eyes closed. "I hope you too die a slow painful death."

Armin begin to sweat when he heard this. "Mikasa... you don't really mean that, do you?"

"Yeah!" Eren blurted out accidentally and continued "You do love us, right?"

Mikasa immediately gazed at Eren who put on a reassuring grin. "Of course I don't... I love you, Eren." But she could never say that to his face.
