The back yard of the high school was so depressing and silent that I didn't stand there even for one second after my dad left. All I needed to do was to find someone who could actually help me. To find civilization to be more precise. When I entered the building I got speechless. The entrance of the high school was nothing but welcoming and I couldn't imagine even for a split second that we could actually held a prom in there. The room was dark and there was no hint of sunlight. There were pieces of art
-kinda- in the walls that portrayed creepy and ugly women -my old self had been always polite and sweet to everyone and it got me nowhere so I decided to try out honesty and plenty of sarcasm- and old and toothless men - correction: hideous old toothless men. The room was huge and there were doors in my right and left. There where wide hallways ahead of me that divided the place and led to different the directions - so this were supposed to be our classes?-and the floor had a thick red carpet. The air smelled like something had just got burned and I could detect dust in every single surface.
"Hello? Is anybody here?" I asked trying to maintain my temper as I was getting tired with the whole hide and seek game. I looked around one more time and just before I was ready to yell again I heard a faint noise coming out of somewhere. I left my things down - I was hoping to find them again- and started walking. As I was going the whole place was gradually changing. The place filled with light and the furniture was vintage and really really attractive. I started thinking that I was in little palace. There were glass doors in both of my sides and I could see through the glass that these were my new classes. Wow, I mean wow. The person who designed this must had been really open-minded and definitely very talented. I was waliking for five minutes till the sound I heard at first became loud and clear. I turned my head in the right and saw a small door. I went towards it and hesitated for five seconds. Was this a good idea? What was this sound? It was like sobbing? Or... I shook my head trying to make all the bad thoughts disappear and I found my courage again. It was now or never. I grabbed the of the door and opened the door gently and slowly.
I inhaled. I walked in. I exhaled. My mouth opened wide in surprise.
