Death of a Friend

They look into a mirror

With sad and empty eyes.

They fake another smile,

And tell another lie.

"I'm fine." They say.

"I'm ok."

Then laugh then turn away.

But they look into the mirror,

And cry when they see their eyes.

They look at their dull, empty eyes.

They smile to their self,

And tell just one more lie.

"I won't." They say,

But know it's not the truth.

They take out a gun, knife, razor, pills, rope,

And die.

They leave all their friends

Who all wonder why.

But their friends did not see,

Nor their own family.

They ignored the dull eyes,

Dead laughs and broken smiles.

They never saw the signs,

Not until the end.

Then the only saw

The death of a friend.
