"Lilith, no!" The scream ricocheted in her ears, causing her spinal cord to vibrate with an intense shudder. The fifteen year old stared at the sight before her, an impassive look taking control of her features.
Hands grasped her shoulders, drawing her closer to a warm body unlike those that lay on the floor around her. "It's gonna be okay baby, we'll fix this." The woman muttered frantically, trying to turn or pull the girl away but she appeared to be mesmerized.
On the ground before her lay the mutilated bodies of her parents, and many of the warriors she had grown to love, along with her future beta. The once beautiful, shining green grass was now stained a dark red, as if the blades had sliced through the people themselves. There was a cough, a sickening rasp and gurgle before she looked down and realized it was coming from her mother.
The once beautiful woman reached up, clasping the hand of her child. "I l-love you, my precious Lilith." She coughed horrendously, struggling to take her last breaths. "Rebuild, and never let your family be harmed as we did." Her hoarse whisper filled the young girls ears, her voice cutting out at some points but Lilith understood. 'I love you.' filtered through her mind as her mothers hand slid through her own. The girl was then swept away by a warm embrace and a blanket, her family hidden from her sight.

A/N: hello there! I am fully aware this is a HORRIBLE prologue, it will be edited and lengthened but right now this is my marker so I can actually post this and not forget about it like I've done before. I do not usually write in such shorts increments so this will be edited and lengthened and the future chapters with be lengthy as well. I'm deciding the point of view such as first, third, etc. Bear(sp?) with me here. Thanks for giving it a glance anyway. ❤️
Much love, Brooke
