Chapter 2
Vienna woke up that Saturday to the sound of fists banging on her window. She opened her eyes to see Harry fiddling with her windows.
"What are you doing?" She asked groggily.
"I can't seem to open these windows. George is playing his screamo music next door and I thought you would enjoy waking up to that." Harry replied, innocently. Vienna sat up and chucked a pillow at the boy while grunting, "You turd."
Harry quickly deflected the pillow accompanied by the sounds of a stereotypical ninja. Vienna rolled her eyes and flopped back down into her pillows. Harry jumped onto her bed, causing pillows to fly.
"Get up! Get up! Bennie wants to go on an adventure!" He shouted as the jingling of a dog's collar came into the room. Bennie jumped onto the bed and crawled onto Vienna. The puppy ventured up to her head, giving her kisses when he arrived. She scooped him up and buried her face in fur, "I don't think so Bennie-boo. No early morning kisses until you've brushed your teeth."
Harry chuckled as he sat down next to the girl and Bennie. The pair sat petting the spoiled puppy before a good ten minutes before either said anything.
"Does Bennie really want to go on an adventure or do you just want to go do something?" Vienna asked.
"Can we go do something please? We have only left this house for classes, work, or the occasional trip to the grocery store since the beginning of school which started six weeks ago. I found this dog park a couple miles down the road. Let's take Bennie. It would be good for both of us." Harry replied.
"Sounds fun! Let's do it."
Harry and Vienna arrived at the dog park a few hours later. Bennie tugged at his leash as he tried to smell all the new smells and explore the new place.
"Whoa there bud," Harry said, "You don't want to choke yourself." The pair walked over to the fenced in area with Bennie pulling hard at his leash. Vienna opened the fence and unclipped his leash. Bennie took off like a rocket into the park.
"Run, Bennie, run!" Vienna shouted as she walked with Harry towards the closest wooden bench. They sat down, watching their little puppy frolick and play in the grass.
"He's so cute! The dog lady definitely picked the right one for us." She said.
"I know but we do need to start taking him to puppy training school." He replied.
"This is true. Do you know of any places around here?"
"I can look when we get home."
Vienna nodded as she felt a wet nose nudge her leg. Bennie was at her feet, panting with his tail wagging. She reached down to pet him, "Hey bud. You want Harry and I to come play with you?" The dog quickly got to his feet, prancing around his owners. Vienna looked at Harry and nodded.
They took off running with Bennie close at their heels. The pair split, each hiding behind two obstacles. The puppy stopped between the obstacles. His little head turned back and forth, not knowing where to go.
"Bennie!" Harry shouted. Bennie cautiously stepped towards Harry's voice.
"Bennie-boo," Vienna whispered. Bennie's head snapped towards her voice.
"Bennnnie," Harry said. The confused dog looked back again towards Harry. Harry said Bennie's name again and the dog jogged to the other side of the obstacle despite Vienna saying his name. Bennie jumped into Harry's arms, happily licking his owner's face.
