CHAPTER 1

I heard the first knock at the door, causing me the draw my attention away from my window at at my clock instead. 8:45am. I took in a deep breath, closing my eyes just as the second knock came. And when a more loud and annoying third knock came I released it.

"God damn it Cara open this damn door I know your awake!"

I picked myself up walking to Chelsea as she stood on the opposite side if the door, waiting for me to let her in. I knew why she was here, and what she would say, and it was the particular reason why I was hesitating on letting her in.

"Took you long enough." She said as she rolled her eyes flopping herself onto my beanbag in the corner of my room next to my bed.

"Nice to see you to Chelsea. Now what could I do for you on this early Saturday morning?"

Chelsea was my best friend. When I moved next door to her when I was 5, we instantly clicked, playing barbies and dress up like every other little girl out there. She had a twin brother, Ryan. We all went to the same school, same classes, same parties. The Butlers were like my second family.

"Well I have some pretty amazing news! You won't believe what Ryan just told me this morning."

You could tell how excited she was.

"Well enlighten me, what's the big news this time?"

"You, me and Ryan are all going to Australia this summer!" She yelled out, the biggest smile on her face as she clapped her hands.

"What's the catch to this trip Chelsea?"

"Catch? What catch? Who told you there was a catch? I didn't say there was a catch. There's no catch whatsoever!"

I stared her down. I knew what was coming. There was only one way we were all three going on a summer vacation to Australia. There was only one person who planned this all out.

"Okay okay so there might be a tiny little catch but I promise you it's worth it! So please promise me you're gonna come!"

"I'm not promising anything until you tell me!"

She groaned in defeat. "Ugh fine okay! Justin is going to be there. He invited us all! There I said it! So I'm gonna just call him back, tell him were all going and were gonna help each other pack. There sounds like a great plan if you ask me."

"I'm not going."

"Come on Cara cut the shit, you are going, and I'm not taking no for a answer from you anymore."

"Chelsea.."

"No don't you dare Chelsea me! Cara I'm begging you please come. This is our last summer together before we both leave for college and all I want to do it spend it with my best friend! I don't want this to be like last summer when I was in England having an amazing time, while you were here at home."

I hated the fact that she was right. The only reason I didn't go to England last summer was because if the mere fact Justin would be there. I knew I was probably the only girl who would pass up an all payed for trip to England, with the bonus that Justin Bieber would be there. Hell that's basically every girls dream. But in fact it was my worst nightmare.

"So pleasaeeee Cara, do it for me and Ryan. But mostly me."

I couldn't help but laugh, she had me trapped and I couldn't say no now.

"Okay okay fine. I will go just please promise me you won't leave me alone with him. Not even for a second."

"OH MY GOD THANK YOU! I PROMISE OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU CARA THIS WILL BE THE BEST SUMMER EVER!"

Why Chelsea did her own little celebration with herself, I was sitting here shitting myself. I've ignored the same person for four years. Justin used to be my best friend. It was always the four of us together. But ever since that one summer before he left to start his career, the summer he hurt me beyond repair; it was the last summer I've ever talked to him. And for the first time in so long, I would have to see him face to face. And that's something I wasn't looking forward to.
