Jungkook's POV
The room was silent.
Too silent.
I stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window of my penthouse, one hand resting inside my pocket while the city glittered beneath me.
Everyone thought tonight had been a disaster.
The wedding.
Naira collapsing.
The ambulance.
The media.
The rumors.
Everyone thought I had lost control.
They couldn't have been more wrong.
I smiled.
Because for the first time in months...
Everything was going exactly according to plan.
I turned away from the window and looked at the wall behind me.
It wasn't decorated with paintings.
It wasn't covered with photographs of my family.
It was covered with her.
Y/N.
Photographs.
Documents.
Business reports.
Schedules.
Places she visited.
People she met.
Every little detail that could possibly matter.
Some photographs were recent.
Some were months old.
One showed her walking into her office.
Another showed her sitting alone in a café.
Another showed her laughing at something on her phone.
And one—
The one I looked at the longest—
showed her standing in front of the mirror, getting ready for work.
I had seen that face thousands of times.
Not because I was lucky.
Because I made sure I could.
I picked up my phone.
One tap.
The screen changed.
Cameras appeared.
Her office.
The parking lot.
The entrance to her building.
The restaurant she visited twice a month.
The road she took home.
Her favorite café.
Her gym.
Places she didn't even know were being watched.
I watched her every day.
Not because I didn't trust her.
Because I trusted no one else.
Especially the people around her.
My eyes stopped on one particular screen.
She was sitting inside her office.
Alone.
