“I can’t wait to go camping!” Brieanna exclaimed.

“Me too!” I agreed. “its gonna be so much fun!”

                                            Madi nodded.

“Marshmallows, tents, catching fireflies, this is going to be the best trip ever!”

“Except that we have to bring my parents!” Indi complained.

“They’ll be sleeping before we’re even yawning!” I joked

We are the best of friends! I have known Madi since 1st Grade, and Indi too. We recently became BFFs last year. Brieanna moved here this year from Tennessee.   She had lived in Nashville, and was a great singer. Indi’s parents were from India. Right now, we were loading our bags into Indi’s van. Well, her parents’.

“Hurry up or we won’t get there before dark!” Indi’s mom ( Mrs. Singh ) said.

                                “Almost done!” we chorused.

“Indira, we’re only going there for three days!” Mr. Singh commented.  “Not for a week!”

                                 “We’re kids!” I argued playfully.

“No electronics!”  Mrs. Singh said, taking up Brieanna’s phone. “This is going to be a traditional camping trip! Well, I will have one for emergency matters, not for playing Angry Birds or going on Twitter!” Brieanna frowned. She loved her phone. Madi put her last bag in the trunk.

“No candy either!” proclaimed Mr. Singh, “Only hotdogs, burgers, and good ole steak!”

                                   “Um, I’m a vegan.” I commented.

                                                     “PB&J!”

                                                       ***

Fifteen minutes later, we were on the highway to our campsite.

“Are we there yet?” Indi asked.

                           “No!” Mrs. Singh said.

                           “Now?” Brieanna questioned.

                           “Still no.” Replied Mr. Singh.

                           “N-” I started.

“O! Mrs. Singh finished. “What do you kids usually do in the car?”

“Play games and watch movies on our electronics!” Madi replied.

                           “We are deprived!” commented Brieanna.
