She does not wept at abuse of power,
She supports the streets with gavels and robes,
She is the juries' conscience,
She must rip off her blindfold,
So she can finally see her chains,
a chain of corruption,
a chain of abuse,
a chain of inequality,
a chain of discrimination,
Justice is trying to break the links,
the links are rusting,
the link of slavery gone,
the link of segregation cut,
But some chains hold strong,
the chain of discrimination,
Justice is a blind goddess,
She cannot see her chains,
But she can feel them,
The chains are rusting,
She is seeing color,
She is seeing beauty,
She is seeing hope,
She is seeing joy,
Justice is a goddess,
She hears all languages,
She is divinely articulate,
She knows ghetto,
She knows street,
Justice is a goddess,
who nurtures and protects,
Justice is not cold and ice-hearted,
She is warm and comforting.
