Heart Attack

Chapter 2: First day

knock knock. Knock knock. I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on the door, I turned around to check the time on the clock that was on the wall and then, I pulled the cover sheet over my head.

The door, then, slammed open, revealing a shocked Chen and a proud Tao by his side. "What the hell are you guys doing? Haven't you guys heard about permissions?" I groaned.

"I was knocking on the door for the past 20 minutes but there was no answer, so, I asked Tao to open the door," Chen glanced at the Tao , giving him a disapproving look, "but this dimwit didn't come back to his senses yet, so, he kicked your door." He breathed out.

"By the way, nice hairstyle," Tao spoke up.

"Thanks," I smirked.

"So, what's the purpose of you guys standing there?" I raised my eyebrows. "You have 10 minutes to get ready for school and go downstairs for breakfast," Chen said, looking at his watch. He was already in his school uniform, unlike Tao, he was still in his panda onesie. The dark circles under his eyes was visible but he did say earlier that he was born like this.

When I kicked them out of the room, I took a quick shower. Since I washed my hair yesterday, I wouldn't have to waste my time shampooing it and drying it later. I, then, put on the uniform that was hung inside the wardrobe. A strange feeling washed over me when I put on the school coat. It's okay, this is only the first day. I checked myself in the mirror once again before going downstairs.

The smell of maple syrup and pancakes wafted through the air, "PANCAKES!" Sehun ran passed me, making me almost trip over my feet. When I turned around, Baekhyun and Chanyeol was racing down the staircase, I stepped aside incase one of them bumps me on the way. "Aish, these boys." Thinking back to when I was at home, everything was quiet and peaceful.

"Good morning, Soojung. Did you have a nice rest?" Suho asked me, once I entered the kitchen. Everyone was sitting down at the dining table in the order of age.

"Soojung, sit here. Chanyeol patted the seat next to him and D.O came back with two full plates of hot, fresh pancakes. He sat down beside me and took 2 pancakes, he ate quietly like there was nothing but him and the pancakes.

I nudged him, "are you always this quiet?" I stared at him, curiously. When he didn't answer, I pinched his cheeks, "Ah~You're squishy."

He looked at me with a bored look, "when he's nervous, he forgets what to say." Chen budged in and all eyes looked our way. "He's not always quiet, you just have to know him better. Right, hyung?" Kai joined in and D.O blushed crimson red, looking away.

"Look, D.O's blushing! Aww~" Baekhyun cooed.

"Come on, boys! We're going to be late!" Suho said with a stuffed mouth. Sehun shook his head at his older brother, "Hyung, finish your food first before you talk!"

Everyone stood up in one swift move, the 3 maknaes running towards the front door, pushing and shoving each other so they can get to the car first. "I want to ride with Minseok-hyung!" Sehun pushed Kai aside and stood next to the white Range Rover. Baekhyun ran up to Xiumin, "Minseok-hyung~" showing his aegyo, "you're not pulling out your aegyo card to ride with me, are you?"

"Maybe."

"Hey, Soojung-ssi, in honour of you being part of the family now, you can pick which car you want to ride in." Suho came up beside me, putting his hand on my shoulder.

I looked at the 3 cars in awe, "I d-don't really mind riding in any of these cars."

After 5 seconds of thinking, Chen dragged me over to Xiumin's car and I tensed at the sudden skinship, blushing madly. "You wouldn't want to ride with Kris-hyung on your first day of school-"
