This theory is that Alice is epileptic. One bit of info to prove this is that Lewis Carroll is an epileptic. Alice is a portrayal of himself. The world she lands in is just her out of consciousness in her seizure. Caterpillars don't really smoke or talk, rabbits don't work for royalty, mice don't use swords. The mystical beasts aren't real. It's all just things from a dream. The whole movie pretty much proves that she's an epileptic. Cards also can't be guards or paint. The whole movie is simply Alice in a seizure. Enough said.
