It had been months since Ashley last saw the lads, or for that fact even heard anything, which was unusual, since she had been back into hunting, she could normally keep a rough track of a hunter that she wanted, but these boys were good. It was late at night, Ashley had just finished wiping down one side of the bar when she sensed someone behind her, she spun around and was met by Sam "Jesus! You scared me!" "Guess I'm full of surprises, can I get a beer?" "We're closed" she stated plainly before returning to wiping down the bar "just one....please" Ashley sighed heavily "fine. One beer, and that's it" she grabbed a bottle and passed it to him "where's Dean?" "Couldn't make it" he smiled as he swigged from the bottle, sending chills down her neck "Boy...you're really carrying the torch for him aren't you." Ashley shrugged him off "I'll take that as a yes" Ashley rolled her eyes and walked over to collect the last remaining glasses "it's too bad! 'Cause see...Dean likes you, sure, but not in the way you'd want" she walked back over to him "I mean, maybe as a friend or something, but romance...that's just out of the question...he kinda thinks you're a child still anyway y'know? I'm not trying to hurt you Ashley, I...I'm telling you 'cause I care..." Ashley swallowed, Sam had gotten this all wrong "that's kind of you Sam b-" "I mean it" "Sam we didn't exactly part on the best of terms, you killed my sister again and then you disappear for months without any word or trace!" She calmed herself down as she felt the emotion building up inside her. "That's why I'm here, see if we can...square things out...I care about you a lot" "Sam what's going on?" Ashley swallowed nervously as he grabbed her hand tightly "I could be more to you Ashley" "maybe you should leave" Sam held her gaze "okay." He let go of her hand and walked away.
She breathed a sigh of relief before being spun around harshly by Sam's big strong hands, his face, close to hers, his hot breath burning her exposed neck, "Sam get off me! Let GO!" She reached over for his empty beer bottle and went to swing it but Sam caught her hand, "ash ash ash" he tutted as he smashed the bottle in her hand, sending small shards deep into her skin and then spinning her around and pressing her over the barside, putting his weight on her small frame nearly crushing her "Sam no please! Plea" he knocked her head against the counter, with a crack it knocked her unconscious and into Sam's arms, he swept her up and placed her on the bar, cupping her face and moving her hair from her face "it didn't have to be this way" he stroked her cheek "or maybe it did"
The regular bar music began to play in the background as Ashley felt her hands being tied tightly behind her back around a wooden pole "what the hell is going on, what are you doing?!" She asked him groggily, Sam came close to her face "so...what exactly happened when your family died?" "You're not sam" "don't be so sure about that, answer the question...cmon....its me" he replied quickly as he held a blade to her face "you can tell me anything you know that...answer the question" "fine." "Fine" he smirked at her "we were driving home, and the yellow eyed demon ran into us" "not quite" he smiled at her "what?" Ashley snapped, having enough of these games, "the yellow eyed demon was meant for us...for our car..." "Ashley looked up at him with tears in her eyes "you really don't know do you?" "Why don't you enlighten me" he chuckled "bet your mom didn't either!" "Know what Sam." "You see....your dad was working with John, but y'know John always protecting his family so you see" sam brought a stool and sat down in front of Ashley and came close to her face "my daddy shot your daddy in the head" he sang in an eerily low tone, "he was dead before the demon crashed into you" "how could you know that?!" "I hear things" he jumped up from his seat "Sam why are you doing this to me?" "You're bait, now open up" he pushed a dry dish cloth into her mouth and tied it around her head "atta girl" he smiled as he looked at her.
Dean burst through the door just as Sam had pulled the blade from the pole "SAM!" "I BEGGED YOU TO STOP ME DEAN" Sam sounded scared, "put the knife down dammit" Dean held his gun aimed at his brother "I told you...Dean I can't fight it, my head feels like it's on fire alright! Dean kill me or I'm gonna kill her, please....you'd be doing me a favour...shoot me!" "No Sammy come on" Dean lowered his gun and put it away "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU DEAN?? ARE YOU THAT SCARED OF BEING ALONE THAT YOUD BE WILLING TO LET ASHLEY DIE?!?!" Sam stood there his arms in the air Dean was facing the door, unable to look at his brother, he spun around quickly splashing holy water on Sam's face, "holy water you demonic son of a bitch" he continued to splash him until Sam jumped out of the window, Dean came to Ashley's side instantly, and sliced her hands from the tight grip of the ropes "he was possessed!?!" She cupped her bloodied hand as Dean brought over a bottle of whiskey from around the bar.
He showed her to a seat and grabbed a clean cloth and took out his knife "drink that" he pushed the bottle towards her she took it gratefully and looked at Dean "Sam's-" "possessed yes, keep drinking" he pushed the edge of the bottle up, tipping more whiskey into her mouth, as Dean was waiting for the alcohol to take affect he prepared what he needed, he'd found a needle and some floss from the back room "how you feeling?" He looked at her "like shit" she took another swig "pass me the bottle" she did so but snatched it back as soon as he tipped some onto her wounded hand "AH you son of a bitch!" She tried to snatch her hand away but Dean had a tight grip, not like Sam's this felt kinder, she watched as he threaded the needle "right I need to get the glass out, there's one piece that's deep" "don't tell me what you're doing just do itAH!!!" She flinched as he pressed the small pocket knife into her hand and fished about for the glass, after several minutes he was ready to stitch her up...
Dean had bandaged her hand as neatly as he could and the pair now had a large glass of whiskey each "who knew dental floss would make such good stitches.....I only passed out twice...and I'm pretty sure my wound now smells minty fresh" she looked at Dean with her eyes glistening from the alcohol, giggling to herself as Dean smiled at her "got a girl Dean?" he shook his head "me neither" she giggled again at her own joke before grabbing at the bottle, Dean grabbed it from her "I think you've had enough" he put the lid on the bottle "I don't think so" she grabbed the neck of the bottle and pulled it towards her, forgetting about her hand she was only reminded when a sharp shooting pain shot through her palm "ah shit!" She cradled the injury once more as Dean moved closer to inspect it "you need to take it easy" "yes doctor Winchester" she looked into the green pools that she noticed for the first time seemed to have gold speckles in them, without thinking she kissed him, Dean pulled back almost instantly "I'm sorry...the drink and-" Dean cupped Ashley's face in his hands gently and kissed her more passionately, slowly leaning them backwards he laid her down on the bar sofa and with his free hand explored her body, unhooking her bra with ease made Ashley wonder just how many times he'd done that but with the mix of alcohol and him being kind to her she didn't care as she removed her shirt from over her head and began to tug on Dean's.
