Hey, I'm back with another chapter I'm typing on a touchscreen so sorry for any errors, anyway I have nothing planned for this chapter so I'm just going to write whatever I randomly comes to mind

-------------

Fiona's POV--

"Today I am going to get Zoey a gift" I thought to myself as I sipped on a hot cup of coffee in the starbucks across the street from my house, I looked at the cup and wondered about why the mermaid was holding her leg things to either-side of her head, it didn't look comfortable that's for sure... I downed the rest of my coffee and left the shop, It was bitterly cold (author note thing, I cant remember what time of year I set it in so I'm going to assume it's winter) and the ground was coated in a light frosting of new snow, it made for quite the slipping hazard as I was wearing thin canvas shoes with flat soles, not only was it cold from the wind but a bit of water had soaked through the thin layer of fabric which made my feet as cold as the snow they were stepping on.

I walked down the crowded street and into my favourite novelty gift shop, it's front window was filled with everything from 'fun snaps' to novelty ties and shock pens, inside the walls were covered in shelves holding every item you could possibly imagine, however it wasn't what was on the wall that caught my interest, shrouded perfectly in the light was on a stand a horse mask.

"That's perfect" I sighed.

I started to walk towards it... and then a child of about 12 ran past me and picked it up off the shelf. I was devastated, my day was ruined, okay maybe I am being a drama queen but that was a perfect gift... well kinda.

Defeated I started to leave the shop until I heard the oh so loved screech of a mother.

"Jeeefffff! Twelve pounds? Twelve pounds? When I said you could buy something I did not mean that! Put that back and pick up something cheaper you have 20 seconds." Screeched the obviously tired mother, she had bags under her eyes and the erratic twitch only caused by drinking too much caffeine.

I sprinted to the horse mask the moment that it was returned to the shelf and bought it faster than many people would think was humanly possible.

Gaining so many stares from strangers as I walked out of the shop head held high with the horse with the horse mask on my face was amazing it felt like victory... Of course that feeling stopped the moment I tripped over the pavement due to my quite obscured vision.

I walked home and once there awaited the much desired prospect of having a skype date with Zoey.
