Demon of Light[Discontinued]

Kenji Hatake ~ The Demon of Light

             

     The forest's floor was ice cold against the young child's bare feet, biting at the nerves, making her toes numb. With the tall dark trees looming over each other, not even the moon's light could make it through the leaves. The thick snow had made it harder to run in the night's darkness. The child ran as fast as she could from the men in black coats while panting.

   "Run! I'll be right behind you!." She could  still hear her mother's loud, quivering voice shout behind her. The girl looks over her shoulder, back at her burning home.  Her feet betray her mother as they halt, absorbing the sight behind her. It's light swallowing the night's darkness. The fire shining vigorously in her pale blue eyes, her eyes land back on her mom on the ground. Thick blood splattered on the snow around the women, a kunai came close to her neck by a man's silhouette.

     "Everything I'm doing is because of you. After your mother's dead I want you to remember this. No matter where you are, how old you become or how much you try to believe what anyone tells you, this is your fault. Now and eternity when your alone never forget this night. Never forget your tears and your mothers blood!" The man yells at her, sounding more like a curse then an order. His strange eyes glowing a bright crimson color, seeming to burn more brightly then the fire. The girl trembled, barely wondering how he could see her from behind the trees.

     Her eyes went widen, as her eyes met his, she could feel a biting pain in her head. His evil red and black patterned eyes meeting hers, she felt him cursing her soul, or leaving his mark. It felt like someone was cutting the back of her head, she didn't know what his eyes did but the small child knew it was her scar to remember.

      Tears run down her round, dirty cheeks. The pain was numbed, it didn't bother her much compared to the thought of her mother. Please live. Those were the words that sang in her head. "W-What are you...going to do? Just let mother go!" The dark brown hair on the girl in tangles, she starts to sob and shake. The other man behind the red eyed person, had his hood up and to tall to even see his face.

 "Come with us or your mom dies." He warned.

     The women on the ground darts a glare at him through the stands of her bloody, black hair. She had been laying in her own blood, still some came from her abdomen, she struggled to lift her head using her elbow to prop on. She then looks at her small daughter. "No! Kenji run away! Don't listen to them! You have to get to safety, I'll be fine!" She shouts back, the small girl looks at her mom with her wide blue eyes full of fear.

"Mommy, I'm scared...." She says, her high pitched voice shaking.

    Her mother's dark sapphire eyes start to shimmer on the sight of her scared daughter, "I know, be brave honey. Just listen to mommy and not these stupid men, okay. You want to listen to smelly men? Just run sweetie, I'll be okay."

"Shut up! Stupid women! You're annoying me!" The red eyed man with spiky hair stabbed the black haired women's neck with the Kunai. The girls blue eyes widen even more, as her mother falls to the bloodied snow. Her heart stops at the sight. She screams in horror and starts sobbing non stop as her mothers blood  somehow hits her cheek. Rolling down her round face and hitting the snow. The tall shadow comes from behind, Kenji's little head turns in his direction.

Everything. Blacked. Out.

   Kenji bolted up, tears ran down her face as she screamed bloody murder, her loud voice never stopping. Her uncle ran in with a rattled expression, with messy hair and clumsy movement. His face showed some relief once he saw it was a night terror. He sat at the side of her bed and stroked her head to halt her screams. Her voice died down into quiet sobs.
