"It's been two months! You need to tell him." Mila begs me over the phone. "He deserves to know."
"Three months." I correct her. "And I will! I promise! You haven't told anyone yet have you?"
"C'mon Alex! I pinky promised you that I wouldn't squeal and I haven't. I don't see how Harry hasn't suspected anything yet, seeing as to how much weight you've gained."
"Hey now! He's nice and hasn't mentioned anything yet! Unlike all the girls. Man girls are mean!"
"Well you need to hurry. I just don't want him to get mad because you waited so long."
"It's only been three months and I barely even have a bump!" I defended myself.
"Whatever! Three months too long!"
"You know I didn't tell him then because-"
"Hey babe, I'm home!" Harry yells as he shuts the door.
"He's back, gotta go!" I hung up on Mila before she was able to say anything else.
[Flashback]
"Girls, I'll be back! I just forgot my sunglasses!" I yelled down the hall to the girls, running back into our hotel room.
The girls and I decided to spend our last day out on the town since the boys had an unexpected interview pop up. I was going to tell Harry the news but he left early in the morning.
I opened the door leading into my bedroom. The cleaning maids must've cleaned up. My room was clean for once and organized for the first time since we arrived. I grabbed my sunglasses off the middle of my bed. A note fell out as I unfolded them. The cleaning maids must've left something on accident.
"Hope you like what I did with the room. Follow my notes on your day out with the girls and you'll find out who I am and why I did such a good deed. Hurry or else." I closed the note back up. Freaky. Scary yet not. Why would someone clean my room if they were going to harm me?
I was about to stuff the note in my pocket and run out of the room when writing on the back of the note caught my eye.
"Don't worry, you'll be able to figure out what notes I left for you, they all look exactly like this one. Each one contains a clue leading to the next note. Only you will be able to decipher them. Leave one out, you'll regret it. Get confused, retrace your steps. But under no circumstances are you allowed to ask for help. I will be testing you. You're future depends on it."
I was officially freaked out. I slowly backed out of my room and walked downstairs, like a ninja, to the kitchen to fetch a bottle of water. As I pushed the saloon doors open, I noticed a note on the island, identical to the one I found on my bed. I slowly approached it and carefully picked it up and read it. "Good job, you found the first clue: Do you know the muffin man? The one that lived on Drury lane?"
That's all it said. Let's just say I was creeped out to the max. I high tailed it out of there. I decided the elevator wasn't fast enough so I ran down every flight of stairs in that building straight down to the lobby to meet up with the girls.
"Woah there killer! Don't want to waste your energy before the day even starts." Addie places her hands on my shoulders and laughs.
"Why were you even running babe?" Chandler looks at me concerned.
"Oh ermm the elevator was broken and I didn't want y'all to worry about me taking so long." I lied.
"The elevator was working fine a while ago." Jez eyed me sceptically.
"I guess there was a problem." I shrugged my shoulders and smiled sheepishly as I lead the group out of the lobby and down the walk way.
"Guys I'm starving!" Mila whined.
