I've never had a boyfriend. I've never been interested. Sure, I thought some boys were cute and I had a crushes on some, but I wasn't interested in boyfriends. My parents won't let me have a boyfriend at my age anyways.

I've always felt independent. I've always wanted to be independent. I have friends and best friends and stuff, but I've always felt that I was the loner or the independent one out of my friends.

After I graduated high school, not many of my friends kept in touch. They were too busy or forgot about me. I still keep in touch with Kate and Ashley though. They are my best friends.

Kate is a year younger than me. She is sixteen. Ashley and I are the same age, but I'm many months older than her.

I had this huge crush on this boy named Alex in the 8th grade though. I can remember that clear as day. He was the only boy I really had a crush on. We stayed friends though until I left. He was a cute boy, a very cute boy. But, there is no chance he could beat the boy standing before my eyes. He was beautiful.

Blue eyes fixed his posture and opened his mouth to speak, eyes on me.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't-" He was cut off by the bitch.

"That's okay. I'm sorry, but are you new here? I've never seen you here before." Mrs. Champlain said, folding her hands.

"Yes, ma'am. I'm new."

"Okay, I'll see you in a couple of minutes after her." She pointed at me.

The thing was, the bitch just assumed he was going to her to talk about God knows what. She assumed. Blue Eyes could've been looking for something else.

The meeting ended shortly after, and I walked out of her office. As I walked out I noticed the boy was sitting in the chair besides her door. He stood up once he saw me.

"She's done?" He asked, looking at the door, then back at me.

"Yeah," I murmured, looking at the ground.

"I'm sorry if I cut off any time from-" I cut him off.

"No, you didn't. I wanted to get away from that bitch." I scowled at the though of her.

Blue Eyes chuckled. Then, he did something unexpected. He put out his hand toward me.

"I'm Peter." The boy, that I now know as Peter, said deeply.

"Anne," I said, shaking his hand. "Nice to meet you."

"You too. Now, if you excuse me, I will be in the Bitch's office." Peter said, quoting her name and chuckling.

School later ended and now, I was waiting at the front of the school for mom to pick me up.

As I was scanning the cars, I felt a stare on me. I turned to my right and saw it was him. Peter.

He had a big smirk o his face and was leaning against a black Range Rover. His smirk soon turned into a smile when our eyes met.

I just stood there and it now turned into a staring contest. Until my phone rang. I broke off the stare and answered it.

"Honey! Honey! Can you hear me? I'll be there in a couple seconds." Mother said screaming in my ear.

"Yes. I can hear you. Why are you calling me when I see your car 2 feet away from me?"

"I see you! There you are!" She said and hung up.

What the actual hell? I don't understand why she does that.

I jumped in the car once she pulled up.

"How was it? How did it go? Did you make any friends?" I was bombarded by questions with her loud damn mouth.

"It was alright. No more questions please."

"Are you having an attitude with me? Don't shut me out. Speak to me now Anne Elizabeth Wood!" She yelled.

Damn. She was giving me a headache. I had to get out of this car. Luckily, we were already home. I jumped out of the car and went in the house, with my frustrated mother yelling.

I grabbed my car keys and ran out the door.

"What the hell do you think you are doing, Anne?"

"I'm going out. I need some air." I said unlocking my car.

"I don't think so. You're father-"

I cut her off by starting my car and driving out of the driveway. God, I was so glad to get away from her and that house.

We live in the country and I'm greatful for that. Quiet and peaceful. In my town, its very loud.

I took the long way into the country and drove slow. I always enjoyed long, slow car rides. They help me clear my mind and relax.

I realized that we had got home at 6:30 and I left at 6:45. I had been driving for a while, 5 hours to be exact. I checked my phone while at a stop sign.

12 missed calls from mom, 7 from dad, 2 from Kate, and 1 from Ashley. No surprise from mom.

I soon drove back to my house, dreading each second. I wasn't afraid of mom, but I was afraid of dad's reaction.

I pulled into the driveway and got out of my car. I put the key in the door and slowly walked in. All lights were off, maybe they were just asleep. I was wrong.

All of the lights flicked on and I was met with the devil herself.
