Chapter 9

~Kyla's P.O.V.~

I sit in the dining room, waiting for SlenderMan to bring out breakfast. I'm the only one in the dining room, but then Toby walks in. I blush madly and burry my face in my hands. I smile a little and hope that Toby doesn't see. He takes a seat next to me, and I think he smiles underneath his mask. "hey!", he says, cheery. "H-hi!", I say. "Want to play some video games while we wait?", I nod and we go to the living room to play video games. We play Mortal Kombat. He chooses the character Scorpion and I choose Noob. (Noob is my favorite!)

~After a while of playing~

I crouch in front of the TV, like three inches away form the screen, screaming, and pushing the buttons on the controller like crazy. I kill Toby and jump up, turning around and point a finger at Toby. "I told you I could beat you!", Toby stands up and growls, standing in front of me, towering over me. "How the Hell do you do this?!", I smirk. "I'm just that awesome!", I lightly push him. "Rematch?", I ask. "Hell yes! I will beat your ass!", he says. I laugh. "In your dreams!", we FINALLY choose new characters. Toby chooses Noob, hoping for some luck, and I choose Sub Zero. 

We have an intense battle. We both a one percent life, and we move back and forth, daring each other to make a move. Toby, taking the dare, makes a move, trying to kick my legs out from underneath me, I jump up and use my special move on him. Toby stands up and I continue to stare at the screen, chuckling. SlenderMan calls out that breakfast is ready and I stand up, and pat Toby on the back. "Good try, hun.", then we walk into the dinning room. Everyone is there. I sit next to Candy, who's being flirted with by Masky and BEN. She doesn't realize that they're flirting with her, but if she did, I know she wouldn't care.

Toby takes a seat next to Laughing Jack (L.J.), which is on the other side of the table, nearest to the kitchen. ClockWork sits next to him and kisses his cheek. I frown. 'That's why he didn't want me to tell ClockWork.'  My heart breaks a little. I look away and turn to Candy, Masky, and BEN. Candy is laughing her ass off, and I stare, confused to what I missed. BEN explains and I laugh as well, forgetting what I had just experienced, but I don't feel the two eyes burning into my back as Dark Link comes over and chats with me. Well, more like starts flirting with me.

I get to know Dark Link. He's actually a sweet guy! Dark Link and I plan on going to the park after work.

"Kyla! We got work!", Candy says, walking into our room. I sit up and look at her. "What do we need to do?", she hands me an envelope and opens our closet. I go over the papers. We've got to kill this dude name Jaydon Butler.

(Jaydon, if your reading this: I never liked you. You were an ass. We dated in third or fourth grade. In Roldph Downs or something. I don't know how to spell it. Pennington. Hope you recognize the name.)

I get up and change into a black T-shirt, jeans and black tennis shoes. Candy wears the same thing. She has a serious expression on her face. I've never seen her like this. Hatred burns in her eyes, as she opens a drawer full of weapons and stuff. She grabs two short bladed knifes, one long bladed knife, a bow that can be folded up, and some arrows. "That's a lot of stuff.', I say, taking a middle length bladed knife. She shrugs and puts the bow and arrows back. "Ready?", she asks. I nod. "Ready."
