"Ciel Phantomhive....... What a wonderful surprise!" You exclaim, happy that your most frequent client was here.
"(Y/N) (L/N), my apologies for such a short notice. I didn't think that we would make it back to the mansion with the weather that's coming.... But we can leave if we are intruding." Ciel explains without emotion. Poor, Earl. He is just a boy, but has the attitude of a man! He must have had a terrible past. You feel sympathy for the boy, but hide it with a smile. "Not at all! It's a pleasure to have you and your boyfriend here!" You say happily, your eyes roaming the well dressed man beside Ciel with black hair, but quickly avert your eyes when he catches you staring and smirks.
"Oh.... Uh.... Sebastian isn't my b-boyfriend.... He is my butler." The young Earl says with a blush. Your eyes widen. "Oh! I'm terribly sorry! Of course you and your.... Butler..... can stay the night! I will have Michael show you to your.... Rooms?" You say, blushing as dark as Ciel. Ciel gives a small bashful nod and mumbles something at his butler, who chuckles and follows Michael to their rooms.When they're out of your sight, you stretch and and remove your top hat, scratching your ears with a soft purr, unaware of the pair of Crimson eyes watching you. You hear a soft shuffle, causing you to spin around looking for the source of the sound, your ears perking up. You put your hat back on, scowling at the empty room. You look around one final time, before shrugging and heading to the library.
<Sebastian's pov>
(Y/N) is a Neko? How could I have not picked up his scent?
I make a quick decision and decided to follow the young Neko.
<Your pov>
You walk to the library, humming to yourself when you hear the quiet sound of someone trying to go unnoticed behind you. You sniff the air slightly. "S-Sebastian, please stop stalking me as if I am prey. Join me." You sigh, turning around to be face to face with the demon making you squeak. He smirks at you giving a quiet chuckle.
"If you don't mind me asking, Young Master (Y/N), how did you know it was me?"
You still at his question, you ears twitching nervously under your hat, causing it to slightly shift. He pretends not to notice.
"M-Michael always makes himself heard, as to warn me. I don't like surprises. Ciel walks, not caring for how loud his shoes are. And the wheels on the maid's card squeaks." You explain nervously. This butler was making you anxious and on edge. You lean back abit, notice now how the butler towers over you. "You are quite an observant one, Master (Y/N)." Sebastian states, straightening up, and walking around you, observing. You swallow, your throat feeling tight and dry. "W-What's your name?" You demand more then ask. "Sebastian Michaelis." He says softly, as if talking to a small animal in hopes of not scaring it away. You growl softly at the butlers tone, but let it slide. Butler or not, he was a guest. He goes back to standing infront of you, smirking. "So where are we headed to, young master (Y/N)?" He asks, looping his arm through yours. You jump at the feeling of him touching you. He immediately lets go, watching you in concern. "Did I hurt you, master (Y/N)?" He asks, actually sounding worried. You laugh nervously. "N-No..... It's okay.... I-I just don't really like being touched.... You touching me is fine. W-Well, I mean, I j-just met you... But you look good. W-Wait! N-Not like that! I j-just meant-." You babble nervously, but stop when he takes your smaller hand in his larger one. You blush a dark red colour. He continues to smirk. "So, where are we going?" He asks again, with a soft smile. "Uh.... I-I was going to go to my l-library.... B-But would you like a tour instead?" You ask nervously. He nods, smiling at you. "I would like that very much, master (Y/N)."
"Please, just call me (Y/N)." You say softly, looking away from him bashfully. He smiles and nods. "Yes, (Y/N)." He says, following close behind you, still holding your hand.
After the tour, you found Ciel, whom you challenged to a game of chess, letting Sebastian go help Michael cook lunch, when the storm Ciel had talked about had started. He accepts, following you to the entertainment room. You grab the box containing the chess board and pieces and set it on the small table gesturing for him to come and join you. He nods, his one eye taking in the room before sitting down across from you, helping you set up the game. "I see you and my butler are getting along quite nicely..." Ciel says casually, starting the game by moving his pawn. "Y-Yes..... He is quite an interesting character..." You say, trying to maintain calm, moving your pawn forward.
"Well, one can say the same about you."
You frown confused. "What do you mean by that, Ciel?" You ask as he moves his piece across the board.
He looks up at you through his bangs and sighs. "You are a 17 year old male, without a fiancé. Am I correct?" You nod, moving your piece.
"Why is that? Are you homosexual?"
He asks bluntly, again without emotion. You blush, watching his hands move his piece. "Would that be a problem?" You asks, gaining little confidence, moving your knight. "No. Of course not. So you are not denying?" He says, moving another piece. "I'm not saying your wrong.."
"Okay. So you are a 17 year old homosexual. Who rarely leaves his mansion, who keeps his butler for company." He says, watching you closely as you move another piece. You laugh, placing your piece down and look at the young Earl. "What are you laughing at?" He asks confused. "It's nothing.... It just sounds like your explaining yourself!" You laugh again, causing the Earl to grin. "At least I'm not a homosexual." He says, moving his piece. "Alright, alright. I understand what you are saying.... By the way, when do I get to meet your lovely fiancé.... I'm assuming you have one, because you, Ciel Phantomhive, are a proper gentleman." You mock, moving your piece, claiming his. "Of course I have a fiancé, you idiot. Her name is Lady Elizabeth. But she expects you to call her 'Lizzie'. Though I haven't the slightest idea why." He says, moving his piece and taking yours. You scan the board, and move your bishop, claiming Ciel's knight. "Check."
He blinks at you and looks down at the board. You were right- one more move and you could take his King, ending the game. There was no escape for him. He could move the queen infront of the King, but then you would just claim the queen, letting him claim your bishop, but then your PAWN could end the game by killing the king. That was his only move.
He scoffs. "Fine. You win." He says, crossing his arms.
"Oh, come now, young Earl. Don't be a poor sport. Finish the game." You laugh. He pouts, and moves his queen, taking your bishop, and your pawn taking his King, just like he thought. "Check mate." You say proudly. And with that, the game was over."I do not usually lose at chess..... You are far more intelligent then I thought, (Y/N)." He sighs, standing up and helping you clean up the game. You laugh, and hold your hat on your head so it doesn't fall off, taking a bow. "I'm glad his highness thinks so." You hear a chuckle from the hall, both of you looking towards the open door to see Sebastian and Michael standing in the door way. "I believe it's lunch time, Ciel."
