Meanwhile...
They laid on the sofa for a while, only their clothes shielding them from the each other. Alecxa sighed into Irial shoulder, he kissed the top of her head and laughed. His laugh, rich and husky, reminded her why she loved him.
“You’re being quiet again,” Irial pointed out. “What’s on your mind?”
“I’m surprised no one came in here,” She said looking up at him. “Especially father.”
“Maybe he went out?” Irial guessed.
“And your madre?”
“What do you want me to say?” Irial asked, pushing himself up on his elbows. “I don’t have all the answer, Alecxa.”
“It’s just strange," she said her voice small. "You don't have to yell."
"I wasn't yelling," he pulled her closer, her legs entwined with his. "Let's get dressed in case?"
"But I'm so comodo."
"I won't be if your padre finds us like this" Irial pulled himself up with great difficulty. The warmth radiating from Alecxa drove him crazy, she drove him crazy. But he had no other choice; they had to get up before anyone found them.
Alecxa stood. Her naked flesh covered by her long grown. She sat up and stared at Irial. Irial changed, his cheeks flushed before turning around to give Alecxa privacy. He was a gentleman after all. She changed as fast as she could and surprised him by wrapping her arms around her waist.
"I love you," she said into his shoulder blades. "Don't mind my prattling, I'm just worried about father."
"Why?" Irial turned around in her embrace, pulling her to him further. "What's wrong with him?"
"He's sick," she said. Irial shook his head but Alecxa pulled away. "Something is wrong, I'm sure of it."
"Excuse me, miss?" a knock came at the door making both Irial and Alecxa jump. "Mr. Marckus needs to see you. He says it's molto importante."
Irial shook his head, his eyes pleading. He didn't trust that man; he wouldn't trust him even if Medici himself declared him trustable. But Alecxa nodded and hurried to the door. He followed her, only to make sure she was okay. As they came out, Irial ignored the look he got from his mother. He walked right next to Alecxa, uncomfortably so.
"Alecxa," Marckus said, his voice shaky. "I'm so sorry."
"Oh there is nothing to be sorry for, Marckus." Irial stiffened at the use of his name. Had she forgotten her manners or had something happened during their car ride. "My father isn't here but I can..."
Marckus shook his head, tears falling from his dark eyes. Alecxa inhaled sharply, an unknown emotion passed by her features. Irial looked to his mother confused. What was happening?
"I'm sorry, Alecxa." Marckus took a step to her, his eyes impossibly large. "I tried to help him, I did everything I could. I swear I did."
"What are you talking about?" Irial asked stepping forward.
"He's dead. He died in my arms an hour ago." Marckus told him. "I'm sorry, Alecxa my child."
"Padre..." Alecxa fell to the floor. Marckus pulled her into a hug, sobbing. "Padre..."
"I'm sorry," Marckus kept repeating. "I'm sorry."
Irial stood, unsure of what to do. He felt no need to cry, he hadn't like the man at all. He looked to his mother. She was sitting on the steps, her handkerchief covering her mouth in shock. He went to her; Alecxa didn’t need him by the looks of it. He pulled his mother into an embrace, she clung to him and sobbed.
