When I woke up, everything felt different. No screaming children, no one shaking me awake, just the quiet meow of Whiskey, coming in to greet me good morning. As the cat jumped up on my bed, I pet him on his head as he meowed and nuzzled his nose into my hand.

"You're a cute little guy, huh? I wish I could stay and pet you some more, but I have school. I'll pet you after school." I laughed. I moved my legs to the side of the bed, and flipped the blanket over and off of me. As I went over to my unpacked suitcase of clothes, I pulled out a pair of jeans, a plaid shirt, socks, and my favourite pair of Converse sneakers. I quickly got dressed, and grabbed my backpack, heading downstairs.

I was greeted happily by Pirate, and walked into the kitchen where Killian was cooking breakfast. I sat down at the kitchen island, and laughed. "Good morning! Just to let you know, you have to bring me to school. It's too far to walk, so you're going to have to drive me. I don't know if a school bus comes by here, but what're you cooking? I'm starving."

He chuckled, and pulled a pan off of the stove, showing me what he was making. "Just some scrambled eggs, and I made some toast. I'll drive you to school, and you go to Storybrooke High, right? I drive right past there on my way to work. I work at a restaurant, well, I own a restaurant. I don't know if you've heard of it, but it's the Jolly Roger."

I looked at him in shock, and after staring like an idiot, I laughed. "You own the Jolly Roger?! Mother Superior said that she once went there for dinner, and it was so amazing that she would go there everyday if she could. But it was also pretty expensive. It's a six star restaurant, but wow. You own a nice restaurant." I laughed.

He was scraping the eggs in the pan onto a plate for me and for him, and shrugged as he handed me my plate. "Eh, I guess so, but business has been a bit slow these past few days because people are all at school now and working more hours. I get at least 40 to 50 customers each day, but that's the least I've had. There's been over a hundred before, or at least over a hundred people waiting to get in. Maybe I can show you around the restaurant sometime."

"Sure! That'd be cool." I smiled as I started to eat my toast. The rest of the meal was relatively quiet, with an occasional meow or bark from Pirate and Whiskey. Once I was finished eating, I put my fork back down on the plate, got off of the seat, and put it in the sink.

I leaned against the counter, watching him eat for a moment, then looked at the clock. "Uh, sorry to interrupt you eating, but school starts soon and I don't want to be late. I start with math class this morning and my teacher, Cora, she's pretty mean. She'll give me a detention if I'm even a minute late. Detention with her is horrible. One time when I had detention with her, she made someone cry just because they were coughing too loudly and it was too annoying for her. So I hate to rush you, but I want to get going soon." I laughed nervously.

He laughed, eating the last bite of toast he had, and brought his plate over to the sink and put it in. "It's okay. I was just finishing anyways. So, I'll drive you to school then. I just need to get changed into my work clothes."

I smiled and nodded, as he ran up the stairs to change quickly, and within minutes he came back down. He was wearing dress pants, a striped navy blue and gray shirt, and nice shoes. He grabbed the cars keys and started to head out the door, until he spun around and asked, "Well, are you coming lass? You don't want to be late for school, right?"
